  1. Yeah you could see Wisconsin struggling, but 0-8? No way you saw that coming.
  2. I looked at it as a compliment that in the post-game interview he is already thinking of us. It reminded me a little of when a Gopher player was being interviewed a year or two ago and said the atmosphere "felt like we were playing North Dakota".
  3. Yeah, to me it's more of a discussion topic for the offseason. And generally when it comes up, I choose not to ride the merry-go-round discussion that repeats itself over and over. Myself, I'm happy we're at 9-3-1 through 13 games instead of 4-7-2 like last year. Also, I'm excited about this upcoming series and hoping we can remind Ryan Massa that he's a sub .900 save percentage goalie.
  4. Has such a nice ring to it that I'm surprised it hasn't been considered as a replacement mascot.
  5. No, not offended at all. I was just generally curious about if anyone had ever thought to do this. I'm originally from Grand Forks so I think it'd be neat if someone had done it (apparently not everyone else agrees). Wasn't suggesting we move forward as the University of North Dakota Grand Forks(insert picture of crossing forks for logo). I also enjoy making smartass responses which is why I linked the video
  6. Yeah, I was thinking more just to see it as a concept or random alternative jersey. Definitely not their standard jersey moving forward.
  7. These answers have been phenomenal. I apologize for proposing such an asinine idea that someone, somewhere may have created this mock-up... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZWqMN-H4ns
  8. It's not?! Who have I been cheering for this whole time? Obvious comments aside, does that matter?
  9. Don't have a vote as all these home whites are awesome jerseys. However anyone think there is anyway UND could incorporate a jersey with Grand Forks on the front and make it look decent? Out of all the mock-ups I've never seen one done like this. Maybe the interlocking ND on the shoulders and Grand Forks on the front somehow? Obviously would be more difficult because it's two words instead of something like Duluth but it would be neat to see it pulled off.
  10. Sometimes after one of our crappy Power Plays and the opposing player is getting out of the box, I'll mutter "always were" to myself.
  11. Too bad BU didn't come to the Ralph this year, I would like to see Eichel play in person. Although I suppose there is a chance of seeing him in Fargo... or Boston
  12. All could be cured by a W tonight
  13. As would all of us. Let's just get it done this year so we can be done with it
  14. Lol I hope this is a joke
  15. Might help them recruit players, attract coaches, raise fundraising from alumni which could lead to more consistency by developing players the best way possible. When's the last time we didn't make the tournament? 10 years ago? But in a single game at the college level, anyone can win. I feel like that's a pretty obvious thing. Over the long term though we will have more success than most teams. Their tradition and arena is a result of winning hockey games and building a great hockey program, not the other way around.
  16. It must be tough overreacting to every single game, especially in a sport like hockey.
  17. Let's just hope night 2 looks the same too
  18. For that game I think Zane played great, 2 deflection goals and a great PP goal. People that need to get called out IMO Pattyn, Johnson, Jordan Schmaltz, OD needs to sit for Trevor Olson That being said it's 1 game so no reason to freak out
  19. Enjoy! Hope they put on a good show for you! Only time I've been to a game there a pretty solid "Let's GO Sioux" chant was echoing around the arena.
  20. I respect your opinion of liking smaller rinks but I couldn't disagree more and I think it was either Mike Eaves or Rico Blasi that said(paraphrasing) 'if you can play a game at The Ralph, you can play in the national championship'. To me that says REA is one of the toughest buildings to play in throughout the country. 12k fans no matter who is in town. Only us and Wisconsin(when they were good) can say that night in and night out. That's all the validation I need as opposing coaches have no reason to lie.
  21. I think the student section has stepped it up this year and started to make it into the atmosphere we'd all like to have consistently. Last year was disappointing for sure as far as atmosphere but hopefully it gets to where we all know it can be.
