Drake was not cross checked in the face.... the DU guy definitely should have been called for a penalty but not for that. I forgot that here on SS Hak is off limits for criticism.... If I was a coach and one of my players punched a guy in retaliation I would be having words with him, not the refs.

It's not impossible by any stretch of the imagination to ask your veteran players not to retaliate after every little thing DU does to get under their skin... I mean come on, Drake punched a guy. When isn't that going to be called? And let's be real here, DU wasn't dodging penalties all night for cross checks to the face. The officiating was horrid last night, no doubt, but it's not like that's a first for UND. There are times where Hak seems to lose control of his players... This isn't anything new.

Why does it take 24 hours to learn that lesson? Right after the Mac penalty you knew the refs were going to blow their whistles at UND every chance they got.... why can't this team make adjustments during play? UND just kept losing their cool and taking penalties which cost them a chance at the game.

Too bad this team can't put in a full game's worth of effort. Frankly this could have been worse if they didn't skate as hard as they did in the third.

Too little. Too late. Very undisciplined. Not surprised by the outcome.

The question is would you be saying that now if wisco hadn't beat Ohio. UND misses the playoffs and it's still Hak's best coaching job?

This team will not lose many games where they play hard for sixty, but how many times has that happened this year? Three times? I know with injuries beggars can't be choosers but there are several guys last night that should sit for being down right lazy at times. Getting beat to pucks while coasting, standing around the front of the net not chasing pucks... did anyone else get pissed at Parks for taking the shift off after he was called for a penalty? What was he pouting? Jeebus, the first thing you should do after taking a dumb penalty is to skate hard to touch up the puck so no more damage is done. This UND team has got the lesson that hard work beats talent several times this year but they still don't seem to get it. Hopefully tonight they put in a more complete effort.

Well, another lesson of too little too late. Lazy, sloppy play in the second kept them out of this one. Parks should be ashamed of himself for taking that dumb penalty and then even worse, taking the rest of the shift off.

I like how if you have any criticism against Hak or the coaching staff you are automatically labeled a hakhater and a troll. Is hak a good coach? Absolutely. Is he a great coach? Not yet in my mind. Is he replaceable? Every one is. Is he above being questioned on a fan forum for UND hockey for Christ sakes? Absolutely not.

Exactly... we've seen what they can do when they play complete games. They just don't do it often enough.

You almost have to feel bad for air force... outplayed UND for most the game only to have UND step up in the last third to win it. I said almost.
