I've noticed that they sometimes miss 10-15 seconds of play because they are playing taped interviews but I've never really noticed it with commercials.

I thought the Zane was alright tonight and could see him getting more time. Zane is a lifelong Sioux fan and it has been his dream to play for the Sioux so I'm almost 100% sure that he won't bail no matter the circumstances. We need to clean up our defensive zone play and some guys really need to play to their potential. I don't know what it was but Rocco seemed real out of sync this weekend and really didn't play very well at all. I liked the top lines play tonight but I think we may see the MacMillan-Rowney-Parks line that was so good last year reunited this next week. Overall good to get a couple points when we really didn't play too well all weekend.

Major lineup shifting for UND tonight: Mitch MacMillan to top line with Knight, Kristo; Gleason to F; Panzarella in at D; Gothberg in net. ' class="bbc_url">@Schlossman@SchlossmanGF Major lineup shifting for UND tonight: Mitch MacMillan to top line with Knight, Kristo; Gleason to F; Panzarella in at D; Gothberg in net. Looks like it will be Mitch getting a shot on the top line, I figured we would be without Caggiula tonight and maybe for a while so it's good to see him back in the lineup right away.

Just saw this too and it looks like Hak is trying to send a message to a few guys. It lists Mitch MacMillan twice and I'm not sure whic one should be Mark.
-
I think we see a different type of team and different type of effort from the guys tonight. I think Mark Mac goes back to the top line and makes a big impact with Kristo and Knight. Sioux 6-3

Completely agree the officials worry too much about making a statement at times and really shouldn't be getting involved in yapping at the players. Some officials need to learn to just make the call and skate away from things.
-
I've watched the play a couple times and I don't really think it's a dive either but I think the issue is Budish turns at the very last second before being hit. I think the ref should have made a call but probably should have gave him 2 for boarding rather than giving the guy a 5 minute major.
-
I agree Kristo made one bad decison but through the first 2 periods he seemed like one of the only guys who was actually playing well. We need to get of to a better start tomorrow night and I wouldn't mind if Hak went with Gothberg tomorrow as Saunders made some huge saves but seemed very shaky and even made some bad plays on giving away the puck on the powerplay. Gleason had a tough night but I think he will stay in there and I would guess we will be without Caggiula tomorrow just from the way he was hit. I think we may see something like Mark Mac.-Knight-Kristo Parks-Rowney-Grimaldi Senkbeil-Pattyn-St.Clair O'Donnell-Gaarder-Mitch Mac. Mac-Mattson Simpson-Gleason Forbort-Schmaltz Gothberg Saunders Maris

I thought it looked like there was a little more spark when Kristo-Knight-Mark MacMillan were put back together and would not be suprised to see them back together. It just seemed like he clicked with Kristo and Knight much more than Parks seemed to.
-
I saw nothing wrong with it since the guy was attempting to play the puck, he may not have done anything with the puck but why give him the chance to. I think it's one of those cases where a ref feels the need to be too involved and needs to let the players decided the game. Did he need to do it probably not, but should it have been called absolutely not.
-
To be fair to Mac it certainly looked like the guy on the ice was trying to play the puck when he gave him that shot. There is no reason for a ref to make a huge call like that at that time of the game when it really doesn't effect the play at all.
-
Not a very good game tonight and I think we will see some changes tomorrow. Wouldn't be suprised to see Zane in the net and the Kristo-Knight-McMillan line back together. CC was desperate for a win and played like it while we played very sloppy and out of sync. I would expect to see a complete effort and different type of game tomorrow. The reffing was horrible but whats new, I'm not gonna get mad at Mac because it was a good clean play and the ref just made a horrible call basically deciding the game.

I'm watching that on FSN+ arena looks real empty, 1st look at New Hampshire this year but they look to have some good speed so far.

Schlossman@SchlossmanGF Brendan O'Donnell expected to be scratched tonight with the return of Grimaldi. Expand Collapse Reply RetweetedRetweet Delete FavoritedFavorite Looks like O'Donnell is the odd man out.

I thought the same thing looked like BCs goalie had it under him and just got pushed behind the goal line.
-
Gophers really have BC on their heels early up 3-0 with 6 minutes left in the 1st and BC having to use their timeout already.

U.S. had a lot of good chances and Subban played well for Canada. Canada's powerplay really looked great while the U.S. doesn't seem to really do anything when they are on the powerplay. The loss sets up a must win with Slovakia and the big question in that game is can the U.S. score enough to win. They've gone 2 straight games without a goal from a forward and there is too much talent up front to not get any scoring out of them. Gibson should keep the U.S. in the game but we are going to need guys like Grimaldi, Galchenyuk, Miller, Gaudreau, and others to put the puck in the net when they get the opportunity.

Maybe todays game made the staff rethink which guys to cut as they will not be announded today as was originally planned. Chris Peters@chrismpeters According to USA Hockey, cuts will not be announced until Sunday at 3 a.m. ET. It was planned to be annc'd today: http://worldjuniors.usahockey.com/news_article/show/205370?referrer_id=707994 …

Just saw that, huge recruiting week for the SIOUX! Even when we aren't playing we are winning right now! I'm sure the folks over at GPL will be shocked with his decison but I for one am very happy with this week!

I thought I heard the final cuts for the U.S. would be on the 22nd.

I believe you are talking about TJ Moore and yes he is one to keep an eye on I believe he led the elite league in scoring this past fall. Another player to watch that plays on the same team as Moore is a JR Spencer Naas who transfered in from Blake this season. There are a couple games on FSN tonight that could have some prospects to keep an eye on Elk River vs. Eden Prairie at 6pm and Edina vs. Grand Rapids at 8:30pm. Some prospects to keep an eye on in those games are Elk River- Soph. #5 Jacob Jaremko and JR #9 Andrew Zerban, Eden Prairie has a lot of their top prospects already comitted somewhere but SR. #15 Mason Bergh could be one to watch, Edina- Soph. #20 Dylan Malmquist and SR. #10 Andy Jordahl, Grand Rapids- JR #8 Avery Peterson, SR. #16 Cody Mann and #35 Hunter Shepard could be one of the better JR goalies in the state.

Definitely sounds like a great pickup he played very well in the elite league this season and also so far this regular season. I know his team plays a pretty tough schedule as well so the numbers he is putting up are well earned. Hope his team can make a run come playoff time so I can get a chance to see him play in the state tournament.

Denver is really struggling right now down 5-1 to Bemidji in the 3rd. I believe tonight will mark an 8 game winless streak for the Pioneers.
