  1. UND has the talent. IMHO it's just a matter of whether or not Hakstol is able to get the team to jell by February or November of 2005. The sky may seem like its falling, but only because Sioux fans (and the rest of us) have come to expect so much from the program each and every year. While it'd be fun to kick you while you're down, I don't expect you to stay down.
  2. For Parise sakes, no one should ever dis God's greatest gift to college hockey. Neither your program nor your fans ever do any wrong - you are all perfect - even when you lose.
  3. lol, who has a loud mouth? No one is whooping about the Gophers or knocking UND, but way to create an argument out of thin air. If you can't stand having someone respond to your smack then lock the damn site down. Otherwise the only person interested in your whining is your mother.
  4. lol, well then the GAA is only 5.00.
  5. lol, I'm sure when Lucia was in Colorado none of you gave a damn - but every word he speaks in Minneapolis bares the greatest scrutiny.
  6. Righteous indignation? Ever hear the one about the pot and the kettle?
  7. I think it's too early for fans of either team to get too excited. While this weekend gives me hope the Gophers can perhaps do better than I expected (3rd-5th in the WCHA) there's far too much hockey to be played. UND lost some key players from last year and it may take some time to find their replacements. Remember how poorly Minnesota started last season and they were only one game from the Frozen Four. I still think UND will be a team to be reckoned with come March, although I have to admit it was fun watching the Gophers finally lay a smack down on the Sioux.
  8. Exactly how do the Gophers play? Both teams carry quite a bit of skill and speed and to say the Gophers played more clutch and grab imho is a stretch of the imagination. I liked what I saw from Porter as well as the obvious such as Zajac, Spirko, etc.
  9. What, there aren't mirrors in North Dakota?
  10. I'm not bitching, nor whining. I repeat - I merely pointed out the idiocy of believing nothing less than a sweep of a quality opponent is considered unacceptable and that was derived from a POST, not a vote. If Sioux fans feel a sweep is expected I can't necessarily fault them for that - but to say anything less is unacceptable? Ludicrous. Perhaps you want this web-site to be nothing but a love-fest for Sioux fans and if that's the case, lock it down.
  11. Been where? To a title for Parise sake. You'd think Sioux fans would be happy enough about the fact they have a great program to root for but it's not enough, they have to try and denigrate an opponent. Self-esteem might be the issue.
  12. Not at all, but since you decided to go that route, you'd think Sioux fans would act a bit more like they've been there before rather than a bunch of whiners that bitch about the Gophers every five seconds.
  13. Who said anything about you predicting a sweep? Perhaps a bit of respect?
  14. They shouldn't even play the games this weekend, just give four points to UND. Briggs sucks, the Gophers are too young, UND has God and the best defense to ever be assembled on a college team, the Gophers shouldn't even bother making the trip.
  15. I was about to say, "tell us how you really feel".
  16. From USCHO.com: http://uscho.com/news/2004/02/11_007921.php So our final bracket would be: West Regional: Bemidji State vs. North Dakota Denver vs. Wisconsin Midwest Regional: Massachusetts vs. Minnesota St. Cloud vs. Michigan East Regional: Brown vs. Maine Ohio State vs. Minnesota-Duluth Northeast Regional: Holy Cross vs. Boston College Miami vs. New Hampshire
  17. Hmph, I thought I was visiting siouxhocky.com not dahuskies.com.
  18. btw, even though it's quite early and anything can happen, USCHO predicts UND, UM and UMD will be in three different regionals - if that were to happen I like the odds of at least 2 winning their regional.
  19. Two HE teams played each other in the FF semis just two years ago at the X. If as many WCHA teams make the NCAAs as expected, there is no way all of them will be put into regionals in such a manner that two couldn't find their way to Boston. You most likely won't see a WCHA team in every regional but expect them it at least three.
