The OC and OL coach are tweeting about spring camp opening.

Per an email that came out yesterday, both will be speaking at the UND booster luncheon on Friday at the Union.

I won't be applying to live there. Those prices are outrageous. Anyone who can afford that could just as well buy a house.

I promise that you aren't the target demographic.
Rents are in line with other similar units in the market and there is a whole lot of convenience that come with this one.
Can't complain about people not investing money and then criticize the prices they need to charge to see appropriate return on their investments.

Other than 2016, in terms of playoff field, they’ve always been 67th percentile or lower.

Haven't looked back but have they ever been in the last 4 in? Or been a controversial pick?

That would be sneaking in by almost anyone's definition.

  4. If you want the third possession in OT when it switches to sudden death, taking the ball makes sense.

If you are willing to go for 2 to possibly win the game like KC supposedly was, defense makes sense.

SF's defense was also super gassed so giving them a little extra rest makes some sense. Though, that's assuming that the people making the call knew the rules.

I was referring to flying direct from Fargo to Chicago where as out of GFK you have to connect in MSP.

    Gotcha.
I've had that FAR>ORD flight cancelled and delayed on me multiple times, missing connections. ORD seems to be nothing be trouble when I connect through there.

Not to mention the risk of a missed or delayed connecting flight ruining your vacation

From experience, this happens out of Fargo just as much Grand Forks. And it is not fun regardless of where it happens at.

So the rumor is not true or Landry did not know?

    What am I missing?

You appear to have inside knowledge.

Landry spending a week in Grand Forks had zero to do with anything mentioned.

Yes it matters where they come from. Mentality and comfortability is directly related to success in any profession.  Plus, if they are average and play little defense why are we going 800 miles to get them?  There are plenty of those players within 4 hours of campus.

I don't necessarily agree with this sentiment but two ND and one SD commit coming in.

I heard on the news Fargo is getting nine more terminals at their airport with a federal grant. What does Grand Forks ever get? We can’t even get a offramp off I 20 $955 million project for Fargo again

Great example of considering the source....
They aren't getting 9 new gates, let alone terminals, and the project, which was already approved, is definitely not $955 million.
The $10 million grant is part of the federal cost share part of the project that is already known and just helps the project get started.

If this is true then you def can't blame Danny and shame on Bubba and Chaves for letting someone like Danny go just so you stay for a few more years of mediocre football. They basically said 3 years more of terrible Bubba ball is better than hiring younger talent (Danny) as head coach. They screwed the future up for this football program and are going to start over in the 3 years after bubba runs it even farther into the ground!!!

First, consider the source. It definitely seems to be more sensationalized from any of the versions I've heard. The end result was likely best for everyone in the long run, even if it meant losing the OC. And before the random arguments come up, I'm not saying that I think losing the OC was good for the very near future.

Also, no clue if there is an actual extension in the works (even though some have decided it is apparently already done since its been brought up for the last two months). Even if there is, as was already stated, it doesn't mean anything until we see the actual details of what would be in any sort of extension. If it is a multi-year extension with full buyout, that's significantly different than an extension in years only with an easy buyout for UND that on the surface shows long-term stability to help with recruiting, which these days includes new recruits and keeping your own players on your team.

Bingo. Get ready for Peterson's Porch 2.0.

The first year was a mess but it was sold out last season (and possibly the season before) and both UND (higher priced tickets) and the Alerus Center (sponsorship) are making more money off of it.

What does he actually do day to day? These salaries are ridiculous.

He makes ~80% of what his counterparts in Fargo and Brookings make. Not sure about the new guy at USD, but guessing on par with him.

Maybe you should start a GoFundMe to build a statue of him. Because you are the biggest cheerleader for the status quo on this forum.

Can't see any reason to even consider that but I bet it would raise more money than yours did.....

Glad you’re keeping track. Nice to be recognized, even by those okay with the status quo.

Not sure who that refers to but just another example of arguing against points no one is making.
Didn't mean to hurt your feelings by posting your own comments, but my apologies.

I’ll put my résumé/CV up against Kelly’s any day.

Given Howe's on-field accolades, knowledge of the game and the above statement, seems pretty obvious that you feel you know more about football than he does. I know you have a few other gems stating that you know more than most but this one makes me chuckle. I should note you never did follow through with that, but I don't think anyone was shocked. Maybe "any day" will come soon enough.

Statement seems pretty emphatic but I’ll type it out since you seem to enjoy the staleness of mediocrity; UND football won’t ascend with the current leadership structure (i.e., current head coach). By not ascend, I mean UND won’t be a program capable of winning playoff games and competing for national championships with current structure.

Maybe you're right, maybe you aren't. You've managed to do both plenty of times, so not real concerned on your self-proclaimed expert opinion.
We all get it, you don't like the current head coach. You've made it very clear. And I don't think anyone has argued that you don't have some valid reasons to be frustrated. Just because others don't think burning down the program in order to feel vindicated about our "personal feels" or that change guarantees any sort of success doesn't mean they care less than you or aren't working behind the scenes to make meaningful changes.

Would this be related to the 'rumor' about Bubba thinking he has four more years left?

Even referencing something like that is going to make some head veins bulge and start off a whole new wave of made up arguments...

Isn't Tyree a match up problem for Wheeler-Thomas.  Wheeler-Thomas looked like he was under 6'.  Tyree can just take him down low.

Hopefully. Haven't watched SDSU to know if that is part of Mayo's game, but Tyree and Mayo are listed as pretty much the same size and DWT caused a few issues down the stretch. It wasn't all-world defense and not sure if he was on him earlier in the game while Mayo was going off for 35 but regardless, but seemed to make some decent plays when it counted.
