If you are talking about the NCAA's, it's home or nothing.

Kessel with the classy hand to ear after he scores. What a stud

Gopher fan or not, his post is accurate. However, I think Denver is playing well right now and could make the tourney without winning the Final Five. One thing is for certain, tonight is a must win. IMO, you get swept at home by a .500 team at this time of year, you don't deserve to be in the final 16.

Kudo's to you Siouxdonyms. As a parent of a special needs child, I can assure you that people such as yourself who dedicate their lives to work with these truly extraordinary individuals are viewed by us as angels here on earth. As for me, I'll ride the short bus all day long. No better place to meet a great bunch of people.

What will be interesting is to see if Denver can turn it up like they have the past few years and whether Wisconsin can avoid a late season collapse like the past few years. Sioux must play next weekend with same sense of urgency as on Saturday. We need three to four wins over the next two weekends.

Sorry, don't see how these two things are related. Don't see where anyone on this board has complained about Sioux players getting penalty for hitting from behind. It is a serious infraction and should be called. As for me, I'll remember Bina and his injury for as long as I am a Sioux fan. I guess the Gopher fans are doing their part with the classless and idiotic "Bina Rides the Short Bus" sign that Kaip and Marvin took away from a group of Rodent punks on Friday.

Just noticed that Sioux dropped all the way to 18 in PWR rankings after last nights loss. How does losing on the road to the number 2 team make you fall that far. Also, will win tonight reverse that?
-
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Great response to a terrible effort last night and two HUGE points. Wish I couldn't have watched this one as it sounded like a classic Sioux-Gopher game.
-
7-1 UW over CC in second. For those who care, 10-3 Denver up on NE.
-
I'll take that bet. Granted UW is playing very well. However, when is the last time that a team ranked #1 most of the year won the NC? Lately, it is the team that gets on a roll come March. I still have faith that the Badgers will find a way to piss themselves come tourney time.

It still amazes me that the best college hockey conference in the country has the worst fricken refs. Granted, I am not watching the game but it sounds from the posts that there are a number of weak calls.
-
I believe this is the first time this year the Sioux have actually played with the lead against UM. Now, stay out of the box.
-
No problem. It is a 7:30 start.
-
No TV here tonight. Just CC-WI. What were shots in the first period? Sounds like more even than last night.

Rarely have I been embarrassed by Sioux effort. Sadly, this is one of those times. Nothing worse than getting dominated by the Gophers. Hackstol should let Phil have a free shot at every other guy in that locker room.

My guess is that it has something to do with his proud Polish heritage. Either that, or it was his nickname back in his adult film days.

I'm on board Straight. I'm feeling 4-3 SIOUX. KARMA, KARMA, KARMA.

Heard from who? Kracker? Give some concrete examples on how relations have gotten worse. I lived in Grand Forks for over 20 years and attended the University and I can't think of one instance of any overt act of racism against American Indians. The whole argument about changing the name because it degrades Indians would be a lot more powerful if you have a few fact based examples to back it up. And please, don't go back and cite the T-shirt that some A-holes from Fargo wore back in the 70's.

Sagard, You are wise man for Gopher fan. Harvard has a fine hockey tradition and Donato has them playing his style of hockey. Frankly, for me, it is a little early to be overly concerned. Seems like many were worried about Hakstol not having the boys properly motivated last year and things turned out pretty good. I was in Columbus last year and that team peaked at exactly the right time, they played two outstanding games. I would have loved to see a win last night and thing a loss tonight will really hurt in the Pairwise but I still think that come March it's gonna be fun to watch these guys play.

According to stats page on USCHO.com it is 2.65 GAA and .902 Save %.

Ban for comments on Kessel? What about his blantent reference to Christmas? Come to think of it, I guess this is the time of year that Gopher fans celebrate the birth of Phil.

Yeah but we will be going to Milwaukee.
