  1. Goon. Take that set of balls that are up on top of your kitchen cupboards, screw them on, and get behind the wheel of your car in the big city. The Hoggsbreath could not be easier to find. From almost anywhere. I'd love to meet the Oz Who Is Behind the Curtain . . . .
  2. Agreed here. One game at a time and St. Cloud will be fighting for their playoff lives. They have a solid team, a fine coach, and a quality program. I remain puzzled at those who believe that they should not be in the NCHC. A remodeled arena. A solid recruiting base. In the so-called State of Hockey. They will prove to be a more formidable foe over time than will WMU or Miami . . . . And a much easier road trip, at least for me.
  3. Sorry Folks. These tickets have been SOLD.
  4. 10-12 here. Have them mildly stock up on some Friday fixings for the Lenten folks . . . .
  5. Still have some of these great value seats. Anywhere from 2-4 as best I can tell right now. As always with me, things are in flux. If I commit them to a buyer, I am a solid commit.
  6. Friday will work fine for my group. If the Sioux get by BSU, I'll probably have a couple of Sioux fans who were just recognized for 50 years of devoted Sioux fan service in tow with me. Would love to meet the Goon as well.
  7. Friday: Benny the Blood Saturday: Jumping Joe Gleason Sunday (if necessary and still eligible: Dan Senkbeil.
  8. This is just one of the many many reasons that makes the college game so much more exciting and fun than the pros . . . .
  9. Hey boomer and Wilson. Smart moves. I'll split. Shoot me your phone numbers on pm and i'll call you later today to take your temperature on any continuing interest.
  10. We likely have four strips (all five games) in Section 224, Row 1. Great end seats. Will sell all four for $327 (cost of $80 per plus $7.00 handling charge) to first commits before start of first round of playoffs. Once first round is over, and teams are locked into the Final Five, the price of these tickets will likely go up. Or down. PM me if interested.
  11. Friday: Benny the Blood. Saturday: Jumping Joe Gleason.
  12. Shoot me your address or give me a call. I've got an original for you this year and last. 70's and 80's. Least I can do for that beating you took on those Frozen Four ducats.
  13. . . . . if he improves on cleaning up his ticky tackiness on the ice. I never meant to imply that you were saying that Rau was Hobey worthy. My point is that Hobeys do not go to ticky tacky players. Rau, from where I sit, is a ticky tacky player, although a very talented one. Therefore, Rau, becuase of this ticky tackiness, will never be a Hobey, no matter how talented he may otherwise be.
  14. Certainly was not the case with Hobey Duncan. Say what you will about Rau, he is no Hobey. Not now, or ever. Don't get me started. Even if you try, I am not biting. Rau is talented. And chippy. Just like your buddy Jacob Cheapuss.
  15. If you are of the fabric that used to cry that Prpich or Hextall were dirty or chippy players, then your buddy Rau is a dirty player. If you defended Prpich or Hextall from such claims, then I shall agree with you. Which is it?
  16. Looks like we cannot get to the Frozen Four this year. As in my posse and me, not the Fighting Sioux. I thought that they would win the Championship last year in their last year as the Fighting Sioux. Now that they have a temporary reprieve, this will be the year. No one expects it. So here it comes. Two Tickets to all three games. Section 305, Row K. Paid $390. Will sell pair for $300 to early buyer. This price will go away once Regionals start and the Sioux are in the mix for the Last Tribe Trip to Tampa.
  17. Weren't they already back for a big weekend shindig earlier this season? Good mention of the Sioux powerhouses of the 80's in the History of the WCHA, 1980's, dvd out with Final Five tickets.
  18. You are featured on the 10th Anniversary poster commemorating the opening of The Ralph. There, forever, is RochSioux. They are going to hang one in all of the suites. Not sure if they will go on sale to the public. Congratulations!! See you around the arenas.
  19. The league is trying to save money no doubt. Printing in a few colors is likely less expensive than printing in all colors. I don't know my printing protocols very well. More importantly, perhaps, is that the silhouettes in white are not the Sioux. The team did not hoist The Broadmoor Trophy last year as a player is shown doing here. They did not touch it. Superstition that was left on the same ice a few weeks later in that heartbreaking season-ending loss to Michigan. The WCHA has always been a reasoned supporter of the Sioux. It recognized North Dakota Hockey as one of the long mainstays and one of the most important cogs in its years of success. Enjoy the 1980's dvd.
  20. There are some reputable scalpers outside, to the extent that they are reputable. You might try an ad on the Twin Cities Craigslist as well. If dealing with a scalper outside, they should have a City "peddler's license" around their neck. As to see it if in doubt. They generally tow the line as their reputation depends on it. They are always willing to upgrade you. For a price. These days, it is a bit of a buyer's market as their Wild stink. Even their own coach says so.
  21. Tonight is the match that should have happened last April 9. Both teams will be jacked up to prove a point, although personnel is obviously different to a degree. Little Swami Sez says that team that wins tonight will sweep the series. This sets up a rare exception to the general rule that the only thing that is more important than a Friday night in the WCHA is a Saturday night in the WCHA. Tonight, in Amzoil, the Friday night game will be huge. Four weekend points to the winner. Somebody gotta keep a body on JT Brown all night long.
  22. Only if the Pig Ten would let us join in all of the other revenue sports as well. From the looks of the Badger-Gopher basketball game last night, it might not be too long before we could compete solidly in round ball. Same for football. NDSU beats Gophers. Last they played, Sioux beat Bison. Wisconsin goest to the Rose Bowl with a team that fills its non-conference schedule with convents and schools for the blind. Sure, I'd leave to join the Pig Ten. Our trophy shelves would be brimming in another twenty years or so. But a blip of time.
  23. Shoreview is just north of Roseville, and Roseville is on Saint Paul's northern border. The hotel is on 694. Take that east about three miles to 35E south. Take that about 8-10 miles and you are in downtown Saint Paul. On the eastern edge of the downtown loop. Drive straight ahead to Kellogg Blvd, on the river, and take a right. Go about eight blocks and there lies the sight of the finest tournament in all of sport. An easier drive and directions one could not hope to find from the Hilton Garden to the Ex. The Blue Fox, right across 694 to the south, will offer drinks and dancing to live rock n' roll music well into the night.
  24. These tickets are still available. Don't make me lower the price below what we paid for them. After a Friday win, these will be in extra hot demand. Or not.
