In volleyball and football who were the coaches of the year?

A week ago one of the television stations did a story about the successes of the Fargo Moorhead and Grand Forks colleges in basketball this year. Moorhead men and women, NDSU men, and the UND men and women. A week later the Moorhead men and women lost in the first round of the NSIC tourney. The NDSU men didn't win the Summit regular season title. The NDSU women lost in the first round of the tournament and the NDSU men lost in the first round of the Summit tourney. The UND men and women both won the Big Sky titles. Hopefully UND doesn't follow the same path as the other schools and wins some games in the Big Sky tourney.

They shot like the men did the other night. They are still the conference champs though. Hopefully the men will a conference title today too.

Extremely costly technical on Brewster towards the end of the game. The air went out of the balloon after that.

Great effort. You win titles with senior leadership. That is what we had tonight. Particularly by Szabla. She showed real poise tonight against a scrappy team. Champions!!!!

Ladies playing great so far. Except missing 3 or 4 layups they have been on top of their game. Szabla having her best game so far since coming back from her sickness. Now let's continue this in the 2nd half and get a piece of the Big Sky Championship.

I wonder if the same school has won all 4 main sports in the same year. I suppose it might of happened, but probably unlikely. It would be quite an accomplishment.

The key is to not get the ball to Shanks. It usually ends up with a negative.

It is going to be tough to beat Weber at their place. As fans we need to remain optimistic even if we lose Saturday. No matter what happens we are going to have a realistic chance to win the post season tourney on a neutral site. If we win Saturday the one negative would be to get to the dance we might have to beat Weber 3 times. That would also be tough. No matter what happens Saturday, hopefully we will continue to play good ball . It would be nice if Bernstine would be more of a consistent factor on the offensive end. That would help. He misses some shots that he needs to make.

Montana State women lose tonight. If we keep winning we win the Big Sky outright.

Mu gut feeling is there will not be any late signings of the "special" type. I just don't seem to be hearing any rumblings. What does everyone think?

Missed too many bunnies. Too many big possessions where we have an absolutely bad play executed. Lack of smart basketball at key times. Hooker just seems to struggle hitting big shots sometimes. Same old.

Geno had a great game but still doesn't always play smart. Good rule is don't throw the ball to Shanks. It usually ends up with a bad outcome.

I think the longest steak of consecutive free throws made is one. Not bad.

We can't lose more than one game tonight. Right.

I think the coach might be losing control of this team.

All the guards have been shooting poorly for a while now. It is like some kind of shooting disease is going through the team. When is the last time Brown made an outside jumper?

It is actually rather shocking how poorly we are playing considering the amount of talent on this team.

I have seen multiple media reports on the incident and almost unanimously the Iowa coach has been criticized for what ended up happening. He obviously has a short fuse and can not control his actions. Decision making in tense situations is not one of his strengths. Not a good character trait for a Big 10 coach.

On Sports Center this morning one guy said that the Iowa coach should be embarrassed and ashamed for walking off the floor. What a terrible example he set for coaches and players. He also said he was a disgrace. Quite harsh words. It was an exaggerated reaction by the coach. Totally unnecessary. He could of said something to Baldwin in the handshake line and left it at that.

Will there be smoke coming out of the Betty tonight? I doubt it. It will be a much more balanced game tonight.

People already seem excited about this recruiting class. How much of tis excitement is typical cheerleading and how much is fact. Are we really putting together a significant class?
