I remember $10 beers but they are huge. 20+ oz...
-
Not sure where you're seeing that. Upper deck 5th row and back tickets are $31.50 each for both games on Friday or Saturday. with the fee's it comes to $85.62 for 2 people to go to both games either night. Not bad. Thinking about just buying tickets on Friday at the game. Would save $21.50 I believe and there is no f'n way this thing sells out.

Is this a 7:00 or 7:30 game?

Regarding how cold it was in the upper level last year: They had the AIR Conditioning on in the upper level. I'm positive. We were sitting under a vert and it blow freezing cold air (possibly just outside air?) into the arena during the entire game. If you weren't right under a vert it wasn't quite as bad but it was very cold. I would suggest bringing in a jacket and possibly gloves if sitting in the upper level. No kidding. Also, lots of $$ for the $10 beers.

So the game tonight won't be on the NCHC webcast correct? Tomorrow will be however?

Webcast tonight?

Yeah we looked like serious dog crap for about 1/2 of the 2nd period. Guys just standing around like we constantly needed a line change. New line would come out and do the same thing 20 seconds into their shift. Weird.

"And Barry wonders why the Kohl Center is empty week in and week out. Eaves can get good talent but can't coach. It's that simple. Yet, Eaves will be back behind the bench yet another season and the program will continue its decline. It's really unfortunate." lol

What the local CO fans should do (and there are a ton of them) is to buy that three game pack, FIll the arena with Green for the UND/DU series, and then go to those other games DU is making people buy wearing their green and cheer for whoever they're playing. NOTHING would tick them off more.

Ohio is NOT a hockey hotbed and never will be. Did anyone see the attendance for the CCHA championship game in Detroit? Pathetic. That was with MIchigan in championship game in their own state! You think if they're playing MN or WI in that game and it's a 'big ten' game people will suddenly flock there to see it??? You can say those teams have great fans, but they sure don't travel...

Friday night isn't sold out, but it's close. There are no side by side tickets left but there are singles available. Standing room onlyl has sold out as have ALL of the less expensive tickets. There are pairs on Stubhub for $60+ each but they ship UPS and I only like to buy Electric Download from there. If the sioux win those stubhub seats will go up in price...
-
nevermind. Ticketmaster can be great if you call them. Got two tickets within 3 seats of each other in section 203...

Tickets are basically gone for the Friday night game. If anyone could hook me up with 2 I'd pay a pretty good beer fee for them, plus face

Last night was pathetic. So little effort, determination or fire... Mattson looked especially awful to me

For as much as my wife and I bitch about what we pay for cable, sometimes it's worth it...

That would be nice, but I thought they didn't make decisions like that anymore? -

Can anyone advise on this: If all the top seeds win this weekend what will the Thursday game schedule be? Trying to get work off for Thursday's game if I need to... -

Makes me almost sad that this is the last year of the final five... The Target Center tourney will still be fun, but it just won't be the same. I love the vibe in St Paul, walking down 7th st. The mob of people by the Holiday Inn, all of it. Hotels and Restaurants is what you gain, almost everything else is what you lose. My advice next year is to buy the high cost tickets no matter what. The top part of the upper deck is useless. Why did they make the upper deck like 40% larger than the lower bowl?? -
This looks more natural to me. I like it better...

I am looking forward to going out in Minneapolis before/after the game instead of trying to pack into one of the 6 or 7 good bars around the X with 12,000 other people. I recently went to the Target Center for the first time in about 5 years and I couldn't believe how !@#!$ that place is. It's almost as bad as the Dome in there... -
I think the best way for a new college team to be successful is to draw as many fans as possible right from the start. To do that you need to be based in an area where hockey is popular. IMO that isn't Arizona, Iowa, or Nebraska, but the Chicago area definitely is, as is the majority of the Upper NE of the US. That leads me to believe someone like Northwestern, U of ILL or Rutgers could be next. I think most of the schools in the NE that are going to play hockey at a D1 level already do, much like MN and MI. What about Colorado (Boulder)?

But they can field a sem-competitve FOOTBALL TEAM? C'mon... Of course they can find enough players. Harvard does. Yale does...

I'll likely just buy one night of these games for that cost. In the past their webcasts were bottom of the barrel as well, which makes it even harder to shell out even $12. We usually get together with some friends and split the cost..

I prefer club level most in that arena. Lower bowl is nice, but I find I don't get quite a good of a view of the ice from the lower bowl there as I do from the club level. Most years we buy upper level seats for a few games and then move to the center ice upper level seats (which are always WIDE open) and it's awsome. In about 10-12 times doing this we've only been asked to show out ticket stubs one time, and that was several years ago. They don't seen to care.
