Difference is Coltyn was basically a walk on. He could stay 4 years here and put in his time and earn a spot. Unfortunately in Blaisdell’s case, and I’m sure he’s not someone who thinks he doesn’t need to earn his ice time, but there are other factors involved when you’re drafted by an NHL team.

Just my perception, but I think it’s that they just don’t see him as a top 6 forward on this team and being a draft pick, he’s not going to get anywhere by playing his entire college career on the 4th line. In which case, he should go somewhere that will give him a chance to flourish in a top 6 role.

No, there has not. Neither of these are confirmed from what I can tell. And CHN doesn’t show where the info comes from so I’m going to wait until either the player confirms it or something more reputable than a chart on a website.

Boston is my favorite city in this country. Though I will say when I was there Google Map said Boston College is located about an hour drive from downtown Boston... so if accurate I’m not sure the city itself would be a huge factor.

I don’t think we necessarily need to grab another forward. Doesn’t mean we won’t if the right one is there. I think we need to grab a D, and a goalie and that should be the next priority.

All I know is Blaisdell should at least get a shot to play something besides 4th line wing. He’s more of a set up guy than a goal scorer so I’m not expecting him to score 20 goals or anything, but I think with the right linemates he could be a productive player next season. I thought his shoulder injury in the pod set him back quite a bit this year.

I think Driscoll is the most likely because he’s from Apple Valley like Karl Goehring. Coincidence? Maybe.
