How's this for a stat: Eidsness is the only goalie we have that has a WIN. I, personally, feel more comfortable playing the guy who earned all 4 of our wins this season. Walski makes me VERY nervous when they put him in goal. Walski has done nothing this season to make me feel he should be getting a start.

There is. I listened to it last night. One week there wasn't due to technical difficulties, but otherwise there has been.

actually, i'm a student if you must know and i definitely don't have any kids. And if you think not winning a nat'l championship is the coach's fault, then clearly you're the one that's been drinking the koolaid. and the fact that you openly diss a number of players on our team, those "other guys" if you will, really shows your blatant disrespect towards them, and i'd like to see you do better. I like what was said about trupper and kozek needing to step up. Because as of yet, they haven't. We need them performing consistently to do well. That said, our defense needs to get better so we don't leave eidsness out to dry.

HOLY FREAK OUT! Were you at the game last Friday? Seriously, Kozek and Trupp were benched because they were TERRIBLE last friday against UAA. Kozek fanned on one too many shots. He's got a killer shot, but he has not been "on" as of late. Trupp didn't have a good game last friday either. Though not many players did have a good game last friday. Hak also said there was a number of guys that probably also could have been benched. Kozek is not the returning leading scorer, he's one of them, but not the top guy (Duncan, Vandy are top returning scorers as well). What line you play on doesn't matter in my opinion. You need to put your players on lines they can produce on. Kozek is actually on the second line, not the third. Players go through slumps, and clearly kozek and trupp are going through some right now, so it gives others the chance to contribute. And the other guys stepped up on saturday night. Go for the sweep this weekend! I don't care who plays as long as we pick up some W's!

I really want to hang out with my broom this weekend.... *crossing fingers*

I am too... NOW. Before the game, I didn't exactly get it. Him and Malone hadn't done anything really all season. I actually felt sorry for Gregoire having to be on a line with them... but they definitely picked it up in my opinion. Hopefully the team was sent a message with the benching of trupp and kozek.

My thoughts: Personally, I was shocked that trupper and kozek were benched. but neither of those two played well at all last night. Trupper, I heart you, but you need to start to DO SOMETHING. Also, I loved it when mario took down the UAA player that cheap shot(ed?) gregoire last night. I sensed that was on purpose. Loved that frattin and malone proved me wrong and scored goals! Eidsness needs to be in goal every game from now on. Period. There should be no questions about that. I really like Hextall. UAA's goalie should switch to basketball considering how many jumps in the air he had tonight.

YES PLEASE! Take me out of my misery and keep walski out of the net during the game.
-
i'll suit up and take them all on... seriously though, I'd do it. I get angry enough in the stands and am ready to climb over the glass.
-
haha... maybe they felt bad and decided we need their help! lol (i know... it's not that funny)
-
I would also like to say it's my personal opinion that if frattin doesn't start to do something he should not be on that line with trupp and gregoire, in fact i don't know if he should be in the lineup until he can DO SOMETHING. i'd rather they put someone else there because i see good things from those 2, but they are missing the third piece. Yes, please play fienhage.

I think everyone at the Ralph now agrees with that statement. Everyone was excited to see Eidsness get put in the game.
-
Besides Dylan Olsen, does anyone know any other recruits that are here this weekend? I heard there was a bunch in the press box tonite.
-
Just got home from the game. My thoughts: Well... the last 2 minutes were very promising. If only we had scored sooner... The high points: when Eidsness took over (loud cheers), when Davey Toews drew the CFB call and got the kid ejected, and the last 2 minutes. I'm hoping this was a learning experience for the coaches that eidsness should be our goalie. i have no doubts about that. Looking forward to tomorrow. hopefully we can score some goals a bit sooner. Everything else sucked.

Apparently Dylan Olsen is on campus visiting this weekend... I don't know much about him, just that we're recruiting him and he's here...

So, yes. Alaska is pretty, apparently. But, when people crack jokes about it, I think it has more to do with the fact that it is WAY up there, kind of by itself, all alone. Basically, it's a totally different world. North Dakota is a a bore. If there wasn't hockey here, I'd probably struggle to survive, to be honest. So, that said, people from Alaska live in their own little delusional bubble...haha. it's all in fun i swear.

in regards to trupp, i think leave him on the line with gregoire and toews and he'll get going. he was with frattin and malone before and those two just haven't done anything this year... keep him with gregoire. As for toews, he hasn't played much so far, so I'd expect him to get going somewhat in the near future... it might take a while since he has played like, what 4 games in the last 7 months or so? The 3 of them on a line have a lot of potential.
-
Earlier in the week, I asked Duncan about his take on his linemates and why the combo works and one thing he said that stuck out was that they were creating a lot of opportunities, but needed to be better at finishing. I think they accomplished that this weekend.
-
ignoring the negativity in this post. SIOUX SWEEP...(I'm sending the team a get well soon card...lol -- it will help haha)
-
Despite the 7-4 score...It was a good effort...very good. I'm proud of the boys. They did everything they could do given the circumstances. I don't know a lot of teams that would have the heart to just go out there so short handed with players and compete like that. I'm glad they flew fienhage in... that was a good decision. I say never leave an extra d-man at home. EVER. Especially considering we were already short before we left. Looking forward to next weekend! We're coming around! I can feel it...

Miller is inconsistent. When he plays well, he's great, but when he plays bad, we're screwed! some guys i can't always tell when they have an off night, but miller i can tell right away. that's my beef with him. He could very well be sitting in the press box every night in my opinion b/c of his inconsistencies. We are searching for consistency after all.
-
um...harrington and davidson? I'm purely speculating. I know both didn't make the trip to mankato a few weeks back. I honestly have no idea, but that would be my guess.
-
You know... if you think about it, with low expectations, you'll be even more excited if those low expectations are exceeded Personally, I won't be surprised either way. I was hoping finley would be back b/c let's face it... chay needs him. so it'll be interesting to see if we can finish on some of our scoring opportunities we've had. because they've been there, we just can't complete them. cc's brick wall, bachman, will be tough to crack though. we shall see. Oh, and if jason gregoire wants to continue to score goals, that'd be excellent.
-
Chartier is also a good buddy of jason gregoire's. He ended up in lincoln because jason and his dad asked the lincoln coaches to give him a look and I guess he impressed them in camp. He's 17, so stll could develop some. Potential's there I think.
