Jack Michaels from Bismarck was hired today to take over Dan Hammers position at KFGO/KFAN as sports director. I think UND could work out the same agreement with him that we had with Hammer if Michaels wants to.

I think a majority of the bashing has to do with how passionate the Sioux fan base is. Yes there is a lot of sioux fans who are cocky because of how the team is usually good every season and is rite in the thick of a natioanl title. Also, we sioux fans take a lot of stuff so serious that a lot of ther fan bases think its funny the way we react. It also doesnt help that there is at least one major incident thats happenf or the past few seasons (kristo, frattin, finly hitting the mascot, judys incident, duis, peeing in elevators etc etc. so sioux become a easy target.

its kind of hard to invest in a program with no money to invest. Obvisouly with lower attendances mean they arent getting the money they use to get. More people come=more money=more money to invest in the program. Im sure any money they have now is being used to upgrade Staff, Facilities, equipment etc etc to get it up to par with other FCS schools.

Hopefully you have a lot of Fighting Sioux Club points. THe sioux office has recieved over 800 emials in just today only. Not including phone calls and other stuff. Better start donating lol.

Good Find. Hard to believe him leaving though. I have talked to him a few times and he lvoes it here. In fact he wasnt sure if his family would like it here so they rented a house. Then he started building a house out near Kings Walk and they just moved in to it over the winter. So i have a hard time beliveing he will leave but I guess you never know if the right opportunity arrives. I wont miss him being the color guy on broadcasts tho lol.

Our worse case scenario might play out and UND may have to leave a waterd down WCHA> Bruce Mcloud was on the mcfeely show kinda of bragging about all these options the wcha had. When asked about the schools he was saying that as soon as the bthc was annoucned he was on the phone with doug peters Moorhead state AD. Then he didnt mention any more name but mentioned that hes had sevral conversations with smaller schools that want to add hockey. Bottom line=if all these small schools want in, UND should get out. Go INDY. Find a new leauge. Start a new league. Do something.

In watching various you tube highlights of RPI here are my observations -RPI almost looks afraid to get hit. They back away a lot. - RPI DMEN are really really really slow but it seems they almost use the trap so there Dfense is helped a lot by the forwards. -Have some decent Forwards with some pretty good speed. -Move the puck pretty well -Goalie seems out of position a lot. Almost reminds me of JP Lammy but taller and sometimes recovers with an incredible save Bottom line- Look for the sioux IMO to have upwards of 40 shots on goal and probably have 3-4 goals and that should get us a W. Anything less then 3 goals I think is a toss up.
