  1. Do tell.
  2. Exactly. Outgoing ADs don't remain on the job for 3 more months, then another six as a consultant if there's friction or a forced retirement. Don't know the man, so can't comment on how personable he is or isn't but objectively he can claim an impressive list of accomplishments at UND, from successful transition to D1 to league affiliations and athletes' performance on the field and the classroom. Would like to see more on the fund-raising front, but hard to understand sometimes the animosity toward Faison. Some on this board not happy with anyone at UND since Clifford retired some 30-odd years ago.
  3. Undoubtedly all of the above, plus high speed rail from Fargo to GF to accommodate masses of new fans.
  4. Would seem to be an appropriate time for a voluntary retirement. Faison is, what, 67ish? Conference realignment finalized. (for better or worse). New president fully on board. Major coaching positions all filled for now. Coming off multiple conference championships and President's Cup victory in Big Sky last year. ...
  5. Totally agree. I think the most discouraging point so far this season was the 2nd half of the USD game, when the Yotes we're burning the clock, coming to the line in the same formation, running up the middle play after play ... and still pushing the D line 5 yards down field on most every snap.
  6. 3rd and short for msu and d line again pushed 6 yards into our backfield.
  7. Ultimately pleaded to misdemeanor charges of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 1/4 ounce of marijuana. Not exactly proof of being a gangster. If every college football team -- including this one -- dismissed everyone with misdemeanor convictions, we might be playing nine-man football. But I digress...
  8. I have two seats for sale in Setion 114, Row H, for Friday night vs St. Cloud. $35 each. Text 701 866-3872 if interested.
  9. 2 group of two tickets for sale in Section 114, rows H and K, for Saturday's game vs St. Cloud. $40 each. Sunday tickets added as a bonus. Text 701 866-3872 if interested. Tickets in Fargo; available here, in GF Friday night or by electronic transfer.
  10. 4 seats (2 groups of 2) available for tonight's game vs Omaha. Section 124. Text 701 866-4075 if interested.
  11. LOL. I wonder, though, with this conference change if baseball won't be back on the table. I suspect the Slummit -- oh sorrry, the Summit -- would love to have another baseball-playing school. Men's tennis was added, IIRC, to meet requirements for the Big SKy. UND baseball coach still on staff in another position, I believe; discontinue tennis, launder the BB uni's and we're back on the diamond. ... although a little short on players.
  12. Where they go we should follow. ... That's your idea of vision for the future of UND and it's athletics department? The Big Sky is a remarkably stable FCS/mid-major conference with a growing list of flagship universities and "destination" school sites. Too bad you can't see beyond the Fargo media hype.
  13. And much of this type of response comes from those who have never been able to get beyond the NDSU obsession.
  14. Ugh. Trading in a high-profile, stable conference for one from operates like a revolving door. Serious lack of vision in this move. The fact that 50% of the posts here focus on a single regional school reflects the obsession far too many fans -- and apparently some coaches and administrators --have with the AC, a school/team that would leave this conference in a heartbeat if it had the opportunity. Hard for me to see the great benefit in being part of a basketball tournament that essentially gives home-court advantage to the same two teams year after year. And nothing like travel to scenic Rust Belt cities like Youngstown.
  15. Two groups of two tickets in rows H and K, section 114, for sale for Friday. $35 per seat. Text 701 866-4075 if interested.
  16. 4 seats available -- in two groups of two -- in section 114 for Friday vs Miami. Rows H and K. $30 per ticket. Text 701 866-4075 if interested.

    2017 Season

No blocked kicks the past two years, per Geaux Sioux"s stats. So what's your explanation for the big drop off in FG % from 40 to 49 yds this past year (4 of 10) vs the two previous years? ( 8 of 10)

    2017 Season

In regards to field goals, I don't recall that height or distance was the issue on most misses this year; longitutde was. Always wondered how much the cast on his arm most of the season affected his kicking, particularly his accuracy. Big drop-off this year in success from 40+.
  19. Why not #1? Can't imagine this guy, with the clock ticking on 3 years of eligibility, is coming in with any other expectation than competing to be the #1 guy. This coaching staff's mantra since they were hired has been that no one's guaranteed a starting position. After this season ended, Bubba, IIRC, identified QB play as one of three areas that needed improvement. Don't know Studsrud personally, but he strikes me as a high character guy who's respected by his team mates. His biggest attribute on the field, aside from leadership, is that he doesn't seem to make a lot of costly mistakes. But I suspect his mobility will be limited in the future due to injuries, and in terms of overall play I think UND was just average this year at the QB position.
  20. TWO seat still available for Friday night in section 114, Row K. Text 701 866-4075 if interested.
  21. Four tickets, in two groups of two, available in lower bowl for Friday night (11/25/16) game vs Michigan State. Seats are in Sec 114, Rows H & K. $35 per ticket. Text 701 866-4075 if interested.

    Bracketology

Not sure I want to know the answer. ...
  23. I asume you're not serious in throwing out the Godfather Defense ("Nothing personal. Just business") and were giggling when you typed this old whopper .UND didn't "need" these games anymore that Weber or Montana "needed" a series with the AC.This was a poison pill thrown out there to push back the discussion of a "rivalry renewal." UND, IMHO, accepted a bad deal because it's new coach -- God bless him -- was preoccupied with a rivalry from another era. Bitterness seems to run awfully deep within your fanbase and your institution.
  24. 9 PM CST start? Look forward to updates from anyone who has 'em.
