Gonna add Bruner to the LB corps NEXT year. I hope he's as good as he looks on HUDL. Could use him right away.
Wow. Assumed this was just wishful thinking on your part. Nice addition.

The AC will never win this way. Stop throwing the ball. Run it up the middle. Use up clock. Keep your defense off the field. Don't throw the ball until it's third-and-eight.

Not even out the door yet and already all on board with the bisonville mantra. Classy.

That occurred in spite of Faison, not because of him. So much untapped potential out there, you have no idea.
Do tell.

On top of that, he's 67 and there have been health issues his family has dealt with. Timing with conference issues finally being settled and nickname issue put to bed, actually seems like a natural break point to give a new AD a clean slate.
Exactly. Outgoing ADs don't remain on the job for 3 more months, then another six as a consultant if there's friction or a forced retirement.
Don't know the man, so can't comment on how personable he is or isn't but objectively he can claim an impressive list of accomplishments at UND, from successful transition to D1 to league affiliations and athletes' performance on the field and the classroom. Would like to see more on the fund-raising front, but hard to understand sometimes the animosity toward Faison. Some on this board not happy with anyone at UND since Clifford retired some 30-odd years ago.

FBS?!?! BIG TEN IN ALL SPORTS?!?! ON CAMPUS FOOTBALL STADIUM WITH RETRACTABLE ROOF?!?!?!
..... formation of another new committee?
Undoubtedly all of the above, plus high speed rail from Fargo to GF to accommodate masses of new fans.

Would seem to be an appropriate time for a voluntary retirement. Faison is, what, 67ish? Conference realignment finalized. (for better or worse). New president fully on board. Major coaching positions all filled for now. Coming off multiple conference championships and President's Cup victory in Big Sky last year. ...

No. The DL take up the blockers and the LBs run around and clean up everything else. Right now our LBs and getting blown up by OL.
Totally agree. I think the most discouraging point so far this season was the 2nd half of the USD game, when the Yotes we're burning the clock, coming to the line in the same formation, running up the middle play after play ... and still pushing the D line 5 yards down field on most every snap.
-
3rd and short for msu and d line again pushed 6 yards into our backfield.

Poole was arrested for having cocaine mailed to him and a scale for dealing. Not smoking weed. He needed to go.
Ultimately pleaded to misdemeanor charges of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 1/4 ounce of marijuana. Not exactly proof of being a gangster. If every college football team -- including this one -- dismissed everyone with misdemeanor convictions, we might be playing nine-man football. But I digress...

Seriously, if we start adding sports in addition to moving to the SumValley, I may have a stroke.
LOL. I wonder, though, with this conference change if baseball won't be back on the table. I suspect the Slummit -- oh sorrry, the Summit -- would love to have another baseball-playing school. Men's tennis was added, IIRC, to meet requirements for the Big SKy. UND baseball coach still on staff in another position, I believe; discontinue tennis, launder the BB uni's and we're back on the diamond. ... although a little short on players.

Blatantly ignoring NDSU in terms of UND's conference status - as well as other dynamics - is not ingenuity (or defeating an "obsession", for that matter) but rather pure negligence.
Where they go we should follow. ... That's your idea of vision for the future of UND and it's athletics department? The Big Sky is a remarkably stable FCS/mid-major conference with a growing list of flagship universities and "destination" school sites. Too bad you can't see beyond the Fargo media hype.

Brookings and Vermillion are yet more doable in terms of travel than anything the Big Sky Conference has to offer. Also, UNI ain't all that bad.
Most of these anti-MVFC/Summit comments appear to be coming from those who have forced themselves to disregard the 100+ year UND-NDSU intraconference rivalry, regardless of the history and residual interest.
Whether you like it or not, UND/Grand Forks will never be in the Rockies.
And much of this type of response comes from those who have never been able to get beyond the NDSU obsession.
