The presidents of the Summit league should call his bluff. Zero chance the MWC schools want anything to do with sending their Olympic sports to Fargo for games.
THE average salary for a men’s head basketball coach in the MWC is north of a million. Let him try to figure that out while finding money for football.
Not opposed to booting the AC, but I wonder why non-MVFC members of the Summit would vote to dismiss another school from their habitually tenuous sports league.

I think the question will be whether UND -- or the South Dakota schools -- will be interested in scheduling NDSU. With upcoming games against Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa in future seasons, why would UND schedule a second FBS team, even a lower-level one, if the goal is to qualify for FCS playoffs? Why would USD or SDAC? Wouldn't think it would be for any payday that could be generated at the dome.

Jake Landry moving on. A disciple of the Jimmy Rogers School of Resume Building, he's taking a job as offensive analyst at Penn State, following Matt Campbell. After one year at Iowa State. After one year at the AC. After one minute at UND.

Been trying to keep tabs on the Jackrabbit roster implosion but unable to access their fan board recently. (Transferred to WSU?) But according to our friends at NDAC:
-- NINE 2025 recruits flipped to WSU (including one-time UND commit wr Pabst).
-- TWO other 2025 recruits decommitted.
-- SIXTEEN current players transferred to WSU.
-- EIGHT current players transferring to other schools
-- TWO other players in the portal.

Portal open another 30 days for SDAC players, I believe, because of coaching change.

Well apparently now he can nap all he wants in his new position. If we created another position like the federal government does, I suppose we know who they expect will pay for that.
Classy take. Just watched the local sports where former rb James Johannesson described Bubba as a stand-up guy who did a lot to set him and other players up for their futures, but he must be wrong because I read from SS experts he's selfish, greedy and corrupt.
I think it's possible to appreciate Bubba's dedication to his job, his players and UND, and at the same time acknowledge the program's been going in the wrong direction recently under his direction. But it's a dichotomy some here seem to unwilling or unable to recognize.

Dixon, per Bubba's EOY press conference, battled injuries all year. He and Teiken were both Sophomores. Maybe a bit premature to brand them "a bust."

LOL. You understand nothing of the kind.
And "corruption" isn't exaggeration or hyperbole; it's an accusation. Maybe try being a bit more careful with the bs you're throwing against the wall.

UND "hit well with the lower level transfers," per Tom Miller in his GFH weekly newsletter today. LB transfers will help, per his assessment, and says d-line transfers have impressed in 11-on-11 drills. He also speculated Hawks will pull the redshirt from Deng Deng.

… of course.
Incredibly predictable response. And my response is also very predictable: I didn’t need to ask any difficult questions; I’ve already done that behind closed doors. Fairly obvious any difficult questions that were raised during a “town hall” were not going to lead to any changes, particularly involving staffing. Still, I was curious to see what would transpire, and it was, like I said, generic.
Do tell! Very interested in what you learned "behind closed doors." Perhaps you could share the difficult questions you asked, to whom you addressed them and what specifically you were told in response.

Wow…..there are certainly some wild statements being thrown out today!! Crazy how some people think
Really? What do find to be so wild and who's crazy? Maybe an issue of priorities. My interest/support/allegiance is with the school and program. No ill will toward any player, but the transfer portal has not been a good development for schools in mid-majors or the FCS. Given unlimited transfers and the significant number of football portal entries who never find another team, it doesn't seem particularly negative to speculate that, for many, portal entry may not deliver everything they are hoping for.

UND gets an o-lineman via the portal, per gf herald. Curtis Gorder, 6'4" 300- pound center/guard from Iowa Central. Reportedly, offer out to 6'7" ol Stephan Stellar, portaling from Sacred Heart.

Anyone know how many the other MVFC schools have had enter? I'm sure everyone is facing this issue.
I listened to a McFeely/Izzo podcast where, after the obligatory AC fawning, they addressed this issue. By their count, UND has had the third-lowest number of players entering the portal among MVFC teams since season's end at 10. The AC has had fewer at 6. SDSU at 4. Murray State has had 42 portal entries. Youngstown 26, Indiana State 20, USD 15, SIU and MoState 13, and N. Iowa 12.

And a coach will sit down in a kids living room, look him and his parents in the eyes, and tell him he has no interest in taking any other jobs... then accept a new job the next day. Integrity, honesty, blah blah blah....
... and the student-athlete still has his/her scholarship and a spot with the college and the program to which he or she committed, correct?
Speaking of commitment, how long before NLIs are declared null and void, and coaches can start prep for a season or a contest with a weekly Monday morning head count?

Exactly. All true. But what's your point? What's the motivation for non-football schools to scuttle the Summit? Because we/they are all set to move ... where?
