  1. The defenses were the difference in the game...Minnesota played smart, tight, and protected their goal, we were whiffing on pucks and chasing our tails giving up opportunities. Schmaltz won't forget this one for a while.
  2. I would bet the farm they will stick these two together if at all possible.
  3. Oh yeah forgot about that, that does make it tight. I was thinking they still had 4-6 games to spare, it's more like 2 with SCSU, not much wiggle room.
  4. At the end he has UND 3-2 tonight and UM 5-1 tomorrow.
  5. I guess I'm missing some games, there should be 20 B1G games, 2 with Duluth, 2 with Bemidji, 2 with Mankato, 2 with Notre Dame...that's 28, are they playing 2 with St. Cloud too? That should still leave 4 even with SCSU unless I'm forgetting something?
  6. They were invited to the WCHA in June of 1997 and accepted in early 1998, so it was before 1999.
  7. Divers aren't usually pro material.
  8. They'll be busy. I just hope everybody comes through this weekend without injuries or suspensions, you never know in this series.
  9. Of course they do, they can't help it...
  10. I have no problem with tDon scheduling Notre Dame because his kid is playing there, if it were me I would push for that too, and with many other OOC dates available it had nothing to do with ending the UND series.
  11. I can't believe it might be black vs. black, I do like the look but there were a lot of great white ones over the years too.
  12. I literally LOL'ed at your signature airmail, good work.
  13. Hey glad you're OK, I thought you dropped off the earth or something.
  14. Last in assists is not a good stat, usually translates into too much one-on-one or desperation shots which doesn't suggest good offensive flow.
  15. Wasn't the same after Dubay was gone, he was the real hockey guy. I hear enough of PA listening to Vikings games if I'm on the road.
  16. I get that but according to the NCAA Transfer Guide the 5-year clock doesn't start until a student athlete is enrolled as a full-time student, if they are enrolled in a 2-year college as a part-time student and have never practiced or played while enrolled part-time they are not considered transfers and are basically free to move without consequences. If he enrolled as a full-time student he would have to fulfill the requirements you laid out, and would lose his first semester of eligibility and have 4 1/2 years left like you said. They are also supposed to be ineligible for one full academic year of residence after the move in either scenario, but can get around that if the 2-year college they are coming from did not sponsor that sport, which I'm sure they didn't. One thing I do know is that reading NCAA rulebooks must be a part of Hell, unbelievable how much information you have to sift through to find what you're looking for, and even then you're not really sure if there is more that you're missing.
  17. It really depends on if he went to CC as a FT or PT student, if he went as a PT student he may have the full 5 years left if can qualify by fulfilling certain criteria, if not he will have 4 years left. Looks like it's really dependent on what the individual person needs to accomplish whether or not it is feasible, probably only someone with the experience of a Supreme Court Justice could figure it out so I guess we'll see what the NCAA says down the road. Personally I think it's a moot point, I think he's going to be a big part of the offense this year.
  18. ...and then came on here and embarrassed himself again after Duluth won it all...guy has issues.
  19. Yeah, another peach. FHG26 and gopherz are 2 of the better Goof posters here...I wonder where gopherz is, he usually chimes in a little this week?
  20. He never showed up at Illinois so he should be considered a true freshman to do what UND wants with him. But I have a feeling he's going to play and play well, with the receiving corp they are putting together it could be a special unit if Joe plays as well as advertised.
  21. That's ridiculous and security should have thrown them out, some people seem to think that buying a ticket gives them the right to do things that would get them arrested in the real world. That said, I don't think I would ever have taken my kids when they were little to Minnesota wearing Sioux gear, I know the harrassment you get and even though I can deal with it I wouldn't subject my kids to it...there's idiots in every fanbase but big rivalries bring out the worst in people. Sad but true.
  22. I guess you have to factor in they were the openers, everybody is hockey-starved and opponent means little.
