Would be a blue ribbon day if both Russia and Canada lost.
-
Hate to out my sources, but your liver told me you're an expert at calling shots.
-
Didn't expect this, hopefully a wake-up call before league games start again.

Posted this on eGriz too, usually a little more NFL action on here though... Wild Card weekend...some great games on paper. SD @ Cincy (-7)...looks like the biggest mismatch of the week, many think Cincy will knock off NE next week, weather is going to be snow/freezing rain, Cincy should be able to run BGE and Bernard at will and hit Green and Jones enough to take out the Chargers without much trouble. KC @ Indy (-1)...two teams who have been up and down throughout the year, KC has fallen apart the last 7 weeks and Indy seems to have found some momentum again, Charles should find plenty of room against Indy's defense but will it be enough to offset Luck and his young receivers? This game is a toss-up to me, I'll take Indy just because they're home. NO @ Philly (-3)...should be the best offensive game of the week...Brees, Graham, Colston vs. Foles, Shady, Jackson...plus a good supporting cast for both sides. Philly can't stop the pass, Saints can't stop the run, this game could be a real shootout until the final play. Weather looks decent, 20's and light wind, shouldn't be a factor. Even though I have doubts about how Foles will play in his first playoff game, I have to go with Philly because Brees is a different QB on the road and between playing a good team in front of the wonderful Philly fans and their history with road games/weather, I can't pick NO. SF (-3) @ GB...it's fitting this game is last because it might be the best, Rodgers and Cobb come back in the nick of time to pull out a win against Chicago and win the NFC Norris Division. A lot is being made about GB getting those guys back and the cold, but really SF is a lot better team than GB is, GB's defense is not good, Matthews is out, SF should be able to control the clock all day long. You can't count Rodgers and Co. out with their big-play capability, but the wind (14 gusting to 22) isn't going to help their cause. Unless the Pack can find some Lambeau magic and get a couple turnovers, SF in a close one.

Losing that game to Canada was huge, being forced to beat Russia, Sweden, and Canada within 4 days is brutal. Go Sweden.

A Roth is funded with after-tax money, meaning you have to pay taxes on the money before you put it in, the hook with the Roth is when you take it out all the gain is tax-free...meaning if you put 50k in over time and it's worth 100k when you take it out you don't have to pay taxes on the gain. You used to be able to fund both a Roth and a traditional IRA each year, not sure if anything has changed there.
-
Possibly a Simple IRA, contributions to that can be up to 12,000 year (14,500 if over 50) and there are many investment options. Generally employers only match the first 3%, but being able to defer that much of your salary and avoid taxes is a much bigger win down the road. Just one possibility that crossed my mind.

I think they're going through what the US did with basketball in the 90's when the rest of the world started catching up to the game they had dominated forever...but not handling it quite as well. On Canada, there are a lot of things I like about it... Their beer Their pizza Their fishing in the far north Banff The mall at Edmonton Niagara Falls Even Regina is pretty cool Their attitude towards hockey...not so much.
-
Record-wise it will probably be about the same, it's not going to happen overnight. Between guys leaving early and the late start his staff (whenever they start) is getting recruiting he will be hard-pressed to put better athletes on the field than last year, I think they'll be more focused and have a better game plan but expecting miracles in this situation isn't very realistic. 2014 will be a year of change and learning, 2015 should be a year of better results.

Wakeup call for the US, might not be the worst thing down the road.
-
...and take Russia with you.
-
There were a few saying yesterday they wouldn't make the medal round, if they lose today with the US on deck tomorrow...
-
Finland beats Russia 3-1, looks like Sweden might be the team to beat...big games tomorrow with Russia playing Sweden and the US playing Canada. Slovakia could give Canada a game today too in about an hour.

Team USA wins in a shootout, 3 in a row over Canada.
-
Yep, tDon is da man. They're still in pool play, here's a link. http://www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/schedule/

Canada with 2 quick goals to tie it at 2 with 10 left.
-
2-0 US after 2
-
What's funny is after the US beat the Czechs the talk on TSN was this Czech team is the worst in a long time. Oops.
-
Me too, been busy this morning and catching updates here. Worst team ever, aye?!
-
Let the TSN meltdown begin...
-
What? After the US killed them? Impossible! Dudley Do-Right on high alert now...
-
12:57 Mark Masters@markhmasters Slavin scores to make it 4-0 USA; Canadian fans occupy themselves by taunting American goalie Jon Gillies, who's stopped all 16 shots faced They're pretty cool all right. SMH
-
Probably not, of course giving up 2 goals will probably draw some comments.

Canada wins 7-2, USA game just starting.
