    I don't remember the year but I recall a game where UND played virtually the entire second periond on the PK and DU had like 10 or 11 PPs for the game.

    Simple question. Could our D problem be that we have too many offensive defensemen who want to act like a forward?

    To be fair there were players who were great in juniors and weren't here under Hakstol and Blais as well.

    With the results we see on the ice I am guessing film sessions are optional this season or they are just used for a nap session.

    Next year doesn't look any better so no better time to clean house. I said it in another thread this program needs a Coach Prime to come on and literally clean house from top to bottom.

    Coaches are in a tough place. Because if you start sitting kids because they don't care about playing D there is this new evil thing called the transfer portal and they will pack up their toys and leave.

    That make things a little better knowing we have a roster full of squirts playing D1 hockey because if we had a roster full of D1 players making these mistakes we would have some issues

    The Bears will be much better after blowing up this roster and with the draft picks and $$$ they will be a 8-9 win team next year. With by far the worst roster in the league they lost 7 one score games. Improvement is coming.

    Let's not forget this team struggled defensively for over half the year last year but not to this degree and the goaltending was better.

    Maybe the defensive issues lies in the mentality of these kids. A youth hockey mentality of just caring about offense and not giving a rip about playing D?? How else can you explain just standing there off a faceoff and letting them just walk in for a shot.

    Agree on Johnson, what do they have to lose at this point. As far as Kleven and Ottawa go this isn't a case of him getting screwed. It is a case of him retaliating and getting booted. It is always the second guy that gets caught. He made a very bad choice and will pay the price.

    Recruiting has gone down the toilet anyways so it really wouldn't matter. They need someone like Coach Prime to come in and literally clean house.
