Not necessarily, as if we win the final five and denver loses both we can still get a 1 seed whether or not msum is a tuc and yale loses the championship ecac game. but if yale wins it and msum becomes a tuc yale could get a 1 seed.

yes, but for the last however many years the final field has been based off the pairwise. this isn't like the ncaa bb tournaments where it's all subjective after the autobids. 5 years ago cc was host and didn't make it and I think the same with NH a few years ago as well. thurs game will be an elimination game for one team. the winner still probably needs to win one more to solidify a spot as who knows what may happen with the ecac or hockey east or for that matter the wcha.

that's a horrible % against a team that has a 79% kill rate and tech was a combined 3/11 on the weekend on the pp. awful kill % for us against an 11% pp team. we have a lot of work to do. granted two wins are two wins but playing like this from here on out will lead to ur downfall.

actually we want RIT to win because as bad as this sounds it will knock mankato out of TUC status and with mankato not being in TUC status there is no way yale will get to 10 TUC games. if yale gets to 10 they will win the comparison with us and there will be no way we can get it back unless they would drop 2 at the ECAC finals. with mankato a TUC it would hurt us more than help us with yale.

two things that could help WCHA bubble teams-Cornell is about ready to play itself out of the tournament and ohio state with another loss tonight will probably fall on the wrong side of the bubble which could leave cc,um,umd,wisc and our nemesis bc all lurking to make the tourney.

here's a funny scenario, we finish with a one seed and get BC in the first round

if we finish higher than them at the final five we would in all liklihood flip that comparison. does that mean we'd pass them in the pairwise-not necessarily. we would still have to either win one more comparison or du would have to lose one for us to get into a tie with them or pass them. if we have the same amount of comparison wins as DU whoever has the higher rpi would get the tiebreaker. that's what makes tonight's game that much more important. if we lose tonight we have absolutely no shot at a number one seed as our rpi will take a HUGE hit.

Our path to a number one seed is very simple. We need to flip the Vermont and Denver comparisons plus make sure we have a higher rpi than Denver and we should get a one seed.

what the conspiracy people fail to realize is that there have been over 7000 tickets already sold for this regional so the NCAA already has a good chunk of money for this regional. this will be probably the best drawing regional whether the goophs are in it or not.
