UM has engineering?

Uhhh... no. I work with many NDSU engineering graduates, and I still have to ask them "what the hell did you do in your 6 years at NDSU." Just one guy's opinion though... My bad.

It's the Golden Rule: Those with the gold, make the rules. FWIW... An ACT score of 21/22 really isn't that hard to get, IMO. However, I know a few friends from the old days that had lesser scores, yet still did well in college and are currently successful in their careers. If these standards were implemented then, they may not have gotten the opportunity of a UND education. Yes, I realize there will be an appeal process, but I see most kids that aren't automatically admitted moving on. Moreso in the general student applicants vs. the athletic applicants. After all, the athletic applicants will probably get a "little more help" in the appeal process. See Golden Rule.

Okay... ticket prices go up because things cost money. My point was:

I find it very odd that the initial plans and specs didn't have the "finish work" included to match the existing REA. In fact, I'll eat my hat if that is indeed the case. What is probably happening, is a whole pile of change-orders came in that threw the budget off. Change orders are typical of "fast-track" projects like this one, but unlike the previous REA project, there's no "open-end account" that's covering all of it. Regardless... now they have an excuse for when our ticket packages go up again next year. Just got my stuff in the mail Saturday... not happy.

I think Andy should be "a" captain, but not necessarily "the" captain. I would like to see Bochenski with the C. He has the leadership, the talent to spark the team when they need it, and we've all seen how the team responds when he takes charge. (SCSU away) Mark my words, he will be the leader on the ice next year, whether he wears an extra letter on his sweater or not.

When I read the thread topic, this is the town that first came to mind. Certainly what they do is within the guidelines set forth by state instititions, or else they couldn't recruit the way they do. Do I feel its fair to the other public schools in their immediate area? No.

They released a composite sketch. An interview I saw this morning with the police department said there were some "inconsistencies" in the case. However, they will not speculate until the investigation is complete.
