Tell that to the Republican senior citizens that need medicaid and the disabled and sick and the Republican oil companies and other companies that get government subsidies and the military industrial complex taking up what 1/3 of every tax dollar you pay. The Republicans want their free stuff too, they just don't want to pay for it. They would rather pass the blame for all spending to Democrats and just be the good guys that offer tax cuts to the wealthy that we can't afford to give.

A, Good for Obama for ending the war that Bush incorrectly started. B, I think Gitmo should be closed and we should move the prisoners to Maximum security prisons in the US. Somebody has to be responsible and pay for the bills. Where were the tea partiers when George Bush was putting two wars on a credit card while giving tax cuts to wealthy people that they didn't need and that we couldn't afford to give? The tea party was a made-up way to rebrand the Republican party after the disaster of George Bush. It doesn't really matter what those fools called themselves. It wasn't real. If the refs called embellishment like it says in the rule book, it wouldn't be a problem. I've never understood the "self-policing" theory of fighting. I thought the refs were the policemen out there. The World Junior tournament and NHL playoffs are two examples where the refereeing is pretty good to very good, and there is no fighting in IIHF and barely any in the NHL playoffs. And the hockey is great. (although, I will say, the IIHF refs don't call diving nearly enough, either)

Ah, thanks for the correction. I wonder where that Leafs fan pulled that line out of and why nobody challenged him. Must've been counting the AHL playoffs last year. Frattin scored a lot of goals during that playoff run.

Saw this over on a leafs board: Matt Frattin now has 23 goals in his last 38 games played. Over 82 games, that's a 50 goal pace. Not bad for his first 38 games in the NHL.

College hockey is different. You used to be able to make a big hit, but now guys will lay on the ice and grab their head after every big hit. (Especially when they are playing against the dirty Sioux.) The case of McWilliam is the most glaring example. The WCHA officiating cabal doesn't like him at all.

In my original post in this thread today, I wanted to tell everybody to respect people's opinions and don't take it personally. You obviously missed that part of my message. you are being a blowhard and nobody is going to want to post anything on this site for fear of you freaking out and pulling out the "HEY, I'M A COACH!" Card.
