How do they compare against the UW band?

Just a question. I noticed at the Mariucci they didn't have the goal horn sound when the goofs scored. Has it always been that way, and if so, why? Just curious.

After going to 3 away games this year (Madison, SCSU, and Minnesota) I have to agree with you that the Gopher fans (particularly the students) were the worst by far. I saw a 60 y/o female Sioux fan with her husband get the finger about an inch from her face as a student walked by, as well as several drunk students in the bathrooms trying to pick fights. Now I understand every student fan base has it's winners, but in this venue it seemed to be a higher concentration. That said, I still had a great time, and the place was packed with energy.

Bunch of BS if you ask me.

After Friday's win, the fsn crew was overwhelmed with Sioux fans, one with a hc shirt, it was pretty funny, I'll post after the game if I can....

It was great being able to meet Nick and his wonderful family friday night. He's a great kid, with a terrific family around him. Just wanted to say thanks NDH for the link, I wouldn't have know about it otherwise. After watching for a couple days, late last night a gopher season ticket holder put his 2 tix up for face value, on the blue line! I was able to snap them up within 15 minutes. Thanks again.

UPDATE: Well, you'll be happy to know I resold the tix on Ebay. Got what I paid for them in less than an hour to a gopher fan. Ordinarily I wouldn't have, but being that I plan on taking my 2 1/2 y/o son with, I didn't want to subject him to the gopher welcome wagon. Actually, my wife was more worried about me doing something I'd regret....so, guess I'm still looking for tickets. I'm confident I'll find something. Guess next time I'll check the seating chart! Follow up: Was able to get a pair on ebay today for Friday's game for $112. Section 2, which is I think the end the Sioux will shoot at twice, so thats good.
