Did they show the SCSU's goalie stick broken in the 3rd period on TV? He was scrambling around without a stick, they finaly got it out of the zone, and one of the guys on the bench was going to through one out on the ice when the goalie decided to make a break for the bench, just as SCSU scored their first goal...that was a huge momentum swing, and a blown opportunity. Ironicly, as I was leaving St. Cloud heading east on 94, I saw an sign, "Opportunity Drive, Next Exit".....

Just back from the game. You saw it too, I guess opportunities wasted would be my opinion. Many loose pucks in front of the net in the third and we couldn't capitalize, and I was sitting on that end, very frustrating. The huskies made the most of their opportunities, they deserve the win. I was entertained for 2 plus hours, and that's all I can ask for I guess. radke looked a little goonish, which I like. Great atmosphere for a game, their fans really get into it. there were a few huskies idiots sitting in front of some Sioux fans in 201 (wearing finley and Brandt jerseys in case u know them)they were dumping popcorn on a Sioux fan. "finley" looked pretty pissed, these husky fans were complete asses. We'll be back in black tomorrow.

Never mind that T.J. Oshie will miss Friday's game because of his second arrest in as many years (a set of circumstances that would've earned him a six-game ban at SCSU, based on the Huskies' student-athlete code of conduct). As for UND, it's pretty plain what Jonathan Toews meant to this team. Without him, Oshie (a St. Louis Blues first-rounder) and Hobey Baker winner Ryan Duncan have been relatively quiet. They've each got 16 points. At that rate, they'll barely top half of their scoring totals from a year ago. Meanwhile, Toews continues to look like a potential rookie of the year with the Chicago Blackhawks. "I don't really have any moxed emotions about that," Sioux coach Dave Hakstol said this week. "I'm happy and proud for Jonathan. He sums up a big part of what we do as college coaches. Certain things are important, like education and development, and to be a part of that for someone who has been able to move up and on so well, I couldn't feel better. "There were high expectations on our team this year, and rightly so, but they may not have been fair. When you lose a Jonathan Toews and a Brian Lee (a first-rounder of the Ottawa Senators), it's going to have an impact." And, until at least Saturday, they'll be without Oshie, too, courtesy of his disorderly conduct charge from last Sunday. It all should make for another entertaining series in the rivalry that keeps growing.

We'll, it's pretty much a last minute thing. We are staying at the Hampton Inn Friday night in Maple Grove, just outside of the cities (that was the bait for my wife...she can shop while my son and I go to the game). I've never been to St. Cloud for a game, so we might as well go! I'm hoping to use the same angle the first weekend in Feb.

is this where everyone meets up before and after the games? Also, will there be scalpers outside?
