I haven't seen one in a long time.....

I've been reading a lot of other forums and see that there are a lot of NHL teams that have a "garage sale" event usually every year after the season is done. I wonder if UND has ever thought of doing something like this? I wouldn't mind getting a hockey bag or a few other hockey related things! I am also pretty sure they wouldn't have a tough time selling everything out either.

It's funny how none of you people know how local TV actual works. Yes, airing a bison bbgame over a national televised hockey may upset a few people but local television is what KVLY is all about. Local advertisers are more willing to put their money into a Bison bball game instead of a national televised game that KVLY probably was only allowed to sell 2 - 4 spots in it anyway. Be prepared to see a lot more locally produced programs on both KVLY and WDAZ/WDAY

My expectations have not been lowered but they have changed with the game. Today's college hockey is different than 30 years ago, hell even 10 years ago! Hockey used to be such a centralized sport that it never caught on in other parts of the country. With the help of some great young talent in the NHL and some good marketing (some would beg to differ), hockey is starting to catch on in different parts of the country/world which is starting to give us more talented players.

Simple answer is he is getting both, some players pan out and other don't. As a coach you can't predict how well a player is going to be but if they stick around long enough you can develop them the way you need.

The 10-11 UND team that made it all the way to the Frozen Four had pretty much 3-4 year players on it with the exception of Brock Nelson.

look how well it has worked for UND when we had 1st round NHL talent, they didn't stick around too long.

If we were bottom dwellers for 2-3 straight years then I would say fire Hak and company but not now!

They all played at UND? In all seriousness, you are going to say none of them have a championship ring on their finger. Why should that matter? If you fired Hak and staff, who do you get? What happens if they don't win one in 5 years after being hired? Do we repeat the same process? The game has change big time since the heyday of the sioux teams that won national titles. Today's teams need more than 4 players to stay longer than 2/3 years, good freshman talent and A LOT of puck luck come March/April. To me that's what we need to hang title #8.
