  1. How about the maroon M and "North Dakota's Pride on Ice" when Irmen and Potulny take the ice?
  2. I wish. They're not exactly the sports geek that I am.
  3. I realize this would be hard to get on camera, but how about a milk carton with "MISSING" and then the Hockey East and CCHA logos?
  4. Her parents (my sister and brother-in-law) went to NDSU.
  5. No...but I'm not showing up in my Sioux jersey and #1 foam hand to the church.
  6. PCM, If that's your fantasy, you need to get out more!
  7. I need to be back in Minneapolis by 12 noon Sunday for my niece's baptism (well, technically, then, I need to be back here by about 9-10 am to give me time to get ready), so I'm hoping I can find another 1-2 people willing to carpool in/my buddy's Dodge Durango and drive back immediately after Saturday's championship game ends. Anyone interested, drop me a line. Thanks!
  8. I don't disagree with anything that's being said here, but, really, everyone's moaning and groaning about DU...what about the NCAA? Do you really think Michigan would suspend its star football receiver for 5 additional games if the NCAA handed down a 1 game suspension as punishment? Or would Illinois or North Carolina suspend a player for the entire Final Four if the NCAA handed down a suspension for their first round game ONLY?
  9. He said he didn't mean it...cmon, do you think he INTENDED to break Bina's neck? Again, I'm not sticking up for the clown, I just think anything he would have done wouldn't have been enough in the eyes of some here. That being said, Gwoz suspended a kid for a much LESSER offense in the national championship last season. I believe it was a curfew violation if memory serves me correct. More than a one-game suspension should have been considered in this instance. But, then again, does the fault lie with DU or with the NCAA?
  10. I'm not a lawyer, but I know how they operate. In his defense, Paukovich opens his mouth and "apologizes" and perhaps he's now personally liable (yes, you can make a case that he should be anyways), but my point is that I'm sure the guy was advised by attorneys (whether personal or university) to keep his mouth shut.
  11. Cmon, Fedorov, you know the legal system today. Nobody can say a word without being sued for millions of dollars. Look at Colorado football for crying out loud.
  12. I agree that he lined him up, Fedorov. I think the guy is a classless goon and he'll get his soon. The point of the post was Denver's "tribute." These are two separate issues here: DU's and what the general perception of Paukovich.
  13. I don't buy that argument, Fedorov. How many times have you seen a touch-up icing call where you know it's gonna be icing, yet you watch the rushing player get crunched anyways the moment he touches the puck? Or how about a team knowing they are getting a penalty and rather than touch the puck, the guy sends a slap shot down the ice?
  14. I don't believe he will. Again, I'm not defending the kid at all. But the issue was DU's tribute, not Paukovich's.
  15. 7>4, Should Paukovitch have put a big post up here to let everyone know he did call Robbie Bina? Maybe advertise it on a billboard in Grand Forks? Again, let's say Greene did it. How would you know if he made a call or not?
  16. Not to play Devil's Advocate, but everyone seems to have a negative opinion on DU's "reaction." OK, let's imagine that it's Matt Greene making the hit in the DU game...what would you want UND's reaction to be?
  17. It's a free country. If Jim builds it...they will come.
  18. How do I get on Al's list? I agree...a stop-over in Mpls/St Paul would be worthwhile...
  19. Yes, I agree, smoggycali, but it was something UND didn't have to do...Blais just did it. The problem I have with everyone ripping on DU and Gwoz is that whatever he and the team do, won't be enough in the eyes of some. I'm just giving them some credit.
  20. Revenge would be sweet, too. Decisions, decisions... Frankly, while Cornell was a pretty big team, Ohio State was skating circles around them. I think Minny will win fairly easily today.
  21. Sorry, guys, I prefer to err on the side of caution. The sooner the Gophers are eliminated, the better.
  22. I know the BC/BU rivalry pretty well. BC fans would taunt BU w/signs reading "SUX to BU" while BU would chant "where's YOUR beanpot?" to BC ripping on the Eagles' lack of success in that tournament. That being said, assuming Denver can beat UNH tomorrow, all I can ask is... ...WHERE'S HOCKEY EAST?
  23. Now that's funny.
  24. I think Greene might use the extra week to heal up his butt after sitting on it in the penalty box for what seemed like 1/2 of tonite's game!
  25. You're right on that, Dagies. I saw that too. All for one and one for all.
