As I thought about this after last night’s loss, a few things were put into perspective for me. I drove to Grand Forks with my youngest two boys for the weekend series on January 3rd and 4th, 2020. Never in my wildest nightmares did I imagine what would happen to my life as I knew it since then - and I’m not just talking about Covid. Fast-forward to March 2022 and I was able to enjoy a good weekend of hockey at the X with those same two boys as well as my best friend. I also reunited with the band at the Hoggsbreath for the first time in really 4 years as the 2019 brunch consisted of all of 4-5 people since UND didn’t make the trip to St Paul. I’m thankful that I had the chance to watch my favorite team in person for the first time in over two years and shake hands with some old friends once again. Without the boys in green and white chasing a puck around, I would not have had the opportunity for either. So we’ll close the books on the 2021-2022 season and I’ll look forward to next fall when we do it all over again. Can’t wait.

I also heard that the hot tub temp this season has been lukewarm at best - that’s a sure fire way to scare away recruits.

I’m just gonna sit at home, turn on the TV, and hope that the next Covid variant takes me out before that game’s over.

That era was a total failure as titles were not won in 1979 and 1981. Unacceptable.

But now it’s time to run Berry and Jackson out of town!

I already confirmed that we will have at least one good sized TV and audio. March Madness will obviously bring a good sized crowd, but it helps having Wisconsin knocked out of the tournament. I am hoping to give BWW a somewhat-accurate head count by about 2 pm Thursday.

I know the Alumni Association does a nice job with promoting the watch parties. I booked one last night for this Thursday at Buffalo Wild Wings in Hudson, WI, for those of you from the MSP east suburbs! Game time is 5 pm - I’ll be there likely around an hour earlier. Hope to have some fans join me!

BTW. someone very sneakily paid for my breakfast and that of my boys. Our waitress would not divulge who it was, so whoever you are, thank you. That was very nice of you.
