  1. I'm with ya, Godsmack...Rud's either going to be the most loyal Tiger EVER or he's going to leave. I predict the latter.
  2. Yea, I can think of one other guy that had to depend on a glove last season. Here are his stats: 5,477 yards and 55 TD passes
  3. Oh, come on...Philly fans aren't THAT bad, are they? Nevermind...they are.
  4. That's the part I can't quite figure out...hire the coach and then tell him his assistants are two guys who wanted the head job but didn't get it?
  5. I think it's safe to say ..."than Young WAS" at this point in time.
  6. I had to chuckle last night at the images of folks attending the Vikings draft party. Lots of anger and frustration after the Barr selection was announced. Just think if the picks had been reversed and they took Bridgewater first and Barr later...confetti and cheers would have reigned everywhere in Minnesota. Remember 1999 and Philly fans going nuts over Donovan McNabb being picked over Ricky Williams? Yea...the fans know what's best... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBJEfmQA9q4
  7. SiouxScore is dead wrong on this one. Manziel is as talented as Vince Young - maybe even better.
  8. Yep...I covered that. Curious pick, wouldn't you agree?
  9. http://www.sbncolleg...d-as-head-coach I'm stunned. Zero coaching experience at the college level unless you count the DIII assistant experience in the mid 1990's...interesting pick. This one's really out of left-field. I hadn't run across his name being discussed anywhere for this job. Also interesting to note in this article this comment: So Haviland gets his assistant coaches picked for him?
  10. You think he's gonna be a stud, eh? I have heard all week long about how he's grown up and matured...then he walks out on stage as the #22 pick doing his "money" move. Class act...all the way.
  11. I'm no Vikings fan, Oxbow6, but there was plenty of chatter that Bridgewater or Manziel would potentially be the #1 pick...to get him with a later pick isn't all that bad for the Vikings. The Packers didn't exactly pick Aaron Rodgers #1 overall, did they? And I still recall the hoots and howls from Packer Nation about how badly Ted Thompson treated Brett Favre. Flash forward a year or two and every Packer fan I know had done a complete 180 - 'Yea, that Brett Favre was a prima donna...I'm glad Ted told him to take a hike." Even the guy running the web site www.firetedthompson.com had to eat crow and posted an apology of his own.
  12. Manziel will get along nicely with legendary Browns QBs Tim Couch, Brandon Weeden, and Brady Quinn...
  13. 9th round, 1992. Had a pretty respectable Vikings career...
  14. Former Tech head coach Jamie Russell recently resigned his assistant position at Providence College to "pursue other opportunities"...
  15. Yes, CC is a quality program with some recent national recognition. It's not a start-up project like Penn State or a reclamation project like Lake Superior State.
  16. Gino Torretta? Tarvaris Jackson?
  17. Brad Johnson?
  18. Spot-on. Another 5-7 years of being an assistant and a certain Potulny might think he's the man for the Minnesota job...
  19. I'm with you on Guentzel...I know our Gopher friends want to believe he'll stick around Minneapolis and wait out Lucia's next 5-7 years but I just don't see that happening if he's offered a head coaching gig.
  20. The Vikings simply could not afford to pick another QB so high in the draft and see him become a bust. Manziel won't be the second coming of Bernie Kosar for Cleveland...he'll be Tim Couch 2.0.
  21. Indeed they have. You thinking surprise pick?
  22. Dark-horse Tom Serratore of Bemidji?
  23. Guentzel...Guentzel...Guentzel...
