it sure looks like back and forth hockey this season to me…at least for the team playing AGAINST North Dakota! Seems like St. Cloud’s motto was, “let’s hang 10 on these clowns this weekend!” ”Oof, 10 goals for the weekend? That seems like a tall order against UND.” ”Nope, I’m thinking 10 EACH NIGHT!”

Has anyone ever done that before?

Ciskie is a gem for doing things like that. I’m shocked he hasn’t picked up one of my sarcastic posts and blacked out my name while sharing them on Twitter. Bruce, If you’re reading this - and we all know you’ve been scouring our board since about 10 pm last night - feel free to post some of my comedy gold on Twitter too.

I’m tired of that argument too. BB has had his inexcusable share of bed-wetting over the past several years, the most glaring case to me being the Canisius College series in Buffalo a few years ago. “Nothing we can do about it, it’s just parity these days.” Is THAT the new standard at North Dakota?

I agree that programs have down years and this certainly has the makings of being a North Dakota team we’ll soon forget. I just get tired of the cheap shots thrown at other programs (UMass is one I recall a few years ago) because they don’t have our pedigree. We start sounding like Green Bay Packers fans. Someday, when the Vikings win the Super Bowl, a bunch of drunk green and gold fans will scoff at them while toasting to pre-Super Bowl era NFL titles.

I’ll consider it if you customize them with - signs in front of the numbers to accurately reflect my +/- on the ice. Some of the current player numbers would probably be pretty accurate.

I guess if St. Cloud State wins 30+ games and loses in the NCAA championship game while UND goes thru the motions of an 8-22-3 season, we can all point at their fans and laugh at them while yelling “8 is greater than 0,” right? That’ll show ‘em.

Adding that would be whole new culture problem…

I’m not sure how you could argue that this team isn’t being outclassed when they look COMPLETELY outclassed out there on the ice. I guess everyone got just 1 pack of Skittles for the bus ride home instead of the usual 2.

This team gave up 3 straight to open up games against both Quinnipiac and Miami. UND gets caught coasting quite often at the sound of the starting gun too.

Boy, I’m tempted to snag one of these for $299.23, but those Hawk patches on the shoulders look ridiculous.

Follow-up to that: Quinnipiac Friday: 3 Quinnipiac Saturday: 5 Arizona State Saturday: 3 Denver Saturday: 3 Miami Saturday: 3 St. Cloud Friday: 6 St. Cloud Saturday: 6 So I was wrong about Minnesota but missed Arizona State and Denver. I’ve honestly never seen anything like this in 30+ years of watching North Dakota hockey. That stat is simply brutal.

“…it’s tough that we’re not getting rewarded.” This team has given up MULTIPLE goals allowed in a row several times this season — like 3 or more — what, 5 or 6 times now? Quinnipiac twice, Miami once, Minnesota once, and St Cloud twice — and that’s just off the top of my head. I’m not sure what the “rewards” should be for back-to-back games of giving up SIX goals in a row should be, but in my book, W’s aren’t handed out for that kind of porous play.

Oof. The same Canisius that North Dakota got swept by a few seasons ago.

I’m depressed too

I’m currently in discussions with the brand-new owners of the trademark regarding acquiring it.

Well, I’m old enough to remember North Dakota hockey being consistently RANKED in the top 5…not getting their asses kick by teams occupying those spots.

I’m quite certain they’re wrong.

I was being facetious with that comment.

But they’re losing to teams in the top 5 so it’s not as bad as it seems.

The puck bunnies got the memo that sneaking mimosas into the hotel rooms tomorrow morning is off-limits too.

I talked to Mama Gaber and she says “no.”

Outside of awful defense, poor goaltending, and an offense that can’t keep up, I’d say this team is on the cusp of greatness.
