Gee, you think coaches might talk to the kids about this happening a bit too frequently for their liking, but maybe that’s just me…

It’s become a bad habit with this team - fall asleep in under 2:00 to start a period and take a nap again with 2:00 left in the period. Someone really should research how many times that’s happened in the last decade with this team.

If Mercyhurst beats Army by a margin of 3 goals or more tonight and Alaska “wins” over Alaska-Anchorage in a shootout on Saturday, the numbers say that UND will be your new #1 on Sunday morning - but that’s assuming UND is wearing the black NODAK jerseys for BOTH games this weekend. If they wear green once or twice, North Dakota falls to #37.

I was told that outshooting opponents gives you a “bonus boost” in the Pairwise Rankings…can anyone collaborate that for me?

3rd game in a row that UND, er, NODAK, gives up 6 straight goals at some point? You’ll have to forgive my extra snarkiness today. It’s cold outside.

2017-2018: #3 UND at home against Union College: 4-1 loss, 2-2 tie. I was also forgetting last season’s home sweep at the hands of Cornell. The Penn State loss was bad but equally concerning was that Cornell series. I was incorrect though, UND did make the tournament last year, despite those 3 non-conference losses.

Well I’m 52 years old, so there’s that…I’ll backtrack thru the schedule as I obviously have the opponent and year wrong.

If memory serves me right, the Penn State loss also kept them out of the NCAA’s. And last years one-and-done 1 goal effort against Notre Dame was less than inspiring.

There have been some pretty early-season letdowns that have cost this season come tournament selection time, cough, cough, Canisius College being one from a couple of seasons ago. Berry’s teams are often unexpectedly caught with their pants down - and that needs to get fixed. I don’t care if it’s October or March, every opponent UND plays brings it’s A game. It’s time UND responded with better than D effort.

Right? Before UND nominated Gino Gasparini for sainthood in the last 10-15 years…there was a time when he was run out of town following the 1994 season. That’s 7 years after winning his 3rd national championship and probably 2 years later than it should have happened given the rapid downturn in the program.

it sure looks like back and forth hockey this season to me…at least for the team playing AGAINST North Dakota! Seems like St. Cloud’s motto was, “let’s hang 10 on these clowns this weekend!” ”Oof, 10 goals for the weekend? That seems like a tall order against UND.” ”Nope, I’m thinking 10 EACH NIGHT!”

I’m tired of that argument too. BB has had his inexcusable share of bed-wetting over the past several years, the most glaring case to me being the Canisius College series in Buffalo a few years ago. “Nothing we can do about it, it’s just parity these days.” Is THAT the new standard at North Dakota?

I agree that programs have down years and this certainly has the makings of being a North Dakota team we’ll soon forget. I just get tired of the cheap shots thrown at other programs (UMass is one I recall a few years ago) because they don’t have our pedigree. We start sounding like Green Bay Packers fans. Someday, when the Vikings win the Super Bowl, a bunch of drunk green and gold fans will scoff at them while toasting to pre-Super Bowl era NFL titles.

I’ll consider it if you customize them with - signs in front of the numbers to accurately reflect my +/- on the ice. Some of the current player numbers would probably be pretty accurate.

I guess if St. Cloud State wins 30+ games and loses in the NCAA championship game while UND goes thru the motions of an 8-22-3 season, we can all point at their fans and laugh at them while yelling “8 is greater than 0,” right? That’ll show ‘em.

Adding that would be whole new culture problem…
