...which will almost certainly result in a "Fire Hak" thread being started before the handshake line is formed.

Notre Dame's all about Notre Dame - and nothing else. If the NCHC offered them a better TV deal with CBSSN, you bet they'd have joined.

Opening face-off, Zombo winds up on the ice and Mac gives him two hard cross-checks to the back as he's laying on the ice...no call. Re-wound the DVR and watched the penalty in OT 25 times...Ortega goes down like he just took a bullet thru his lower back. However, Mac could have easily gone into the corner and quickly sent the puck down the ice and out of harm's way.

Well, that explains a lot. If you haven't won a natty, you don't know anything about hockey. Totally agree with you on the Mac call. Why even give the ref the chance to make the call? I swear, some folks here would still be screaming about a second penalty in OT being called even if Mac had taken one of his skates off and smacked Ortega in the helmet with the blade!

Count me in the group of fans glad that Notre Dame's over in Hockey East. Instead of an exciting #16 Merrimack vs #14 UMass-Lowell game on NBCSN tonight, fans can look forward to UNH and the Fighting Irish. Yawn.

Cratter, you're better than that...you do know that Troy Jutting is good enough to be an assistant coach at UNO, right? If Dean Blais was still coaching UND and thought highly enough of Jutting to have him on his bench, there'd be plenty of Sioux fans (especially on this site) who would think Jutting is a coaching genius.

Anastos hasn't impressed me but he didn't inherit a whole lot of talent. MSU has looked better recently. He gets another year.

I agree on Red. Wisconsin might have seen enough of Eaves by now. I think Anastos gets another year.

3? I'm listening.

Minnesota will not make the NCAA's. Bank on it.

Big win for Union tonight at Harvard, 5-4.
