  1. There is little doubt that one of the three - Lucia, Guentzel, or Potulny - will not be back next season.
  2. fs4l is right on one point - 1988-1989 was a decent year as was 1989-1990. Can't remember much about 1990-1991 but 1991-1992 was the Greg Johnson show and not much else. The rapid decline started around then.
  3. "Done pretty well" since the move were your words. 14 wins, 16 wins, and in the current season, 9 wins. 9. On February 1st. But go ahead and continue hanging your hat on the 25 or 26 win season a couple of years ago...
  4. Gino Gasparini was a great coach too. With 3 rings. And he was shown the gate rather quickly after a tailspin that started in 1988. Let's try this: Suppose Don Lucia was the head guy right now at UND. Would he be getting a free pass based on titles in 2002 and 2003? My money says no.
  5. Objection. Speculation.
  6. Here you go, fs4l. Making it easy for the reader to keep up on the current page.
  7. I've met them both Dean and Scott several times myself and agree - but this board would absolutely skewer them over their recent records had they been at UND.
  8. The "UND alum" criteria never helped Hak, did it? Now it's "no need to hate"? With a five-year record like Sandelin's past five, this place would be in flames even if Jonathan Toews was head coach! fs4l's whole point was that Sandy's record since Amsoil opened is spectacular and that's just plain FALSE. Heaven forbid someone just say it.
  9. 2010-2011 was a half-season in Amsoil. Sandelin's had 1 good full season in the new building and 2 very crummy ones - and is closer to making that 2 a 3 than he is the 1 a 2. Is a 2014-2015 record of 21-16-3 a really good season in your eyes? Sounds like 5 games over .500 to me.
  10. 14 wins in 2012-2013... 16 wins in 2013-2014... 9 wins so far this season... Yea, Sandelin's really slayin' it at Amsoil, isn't he?
  11. Electric atmosphere for the 1:00 pm game at the North Star College Cup! It's Minnesota's Beanpot!
  12. But...but...but...Sandy won that natty five years ago! I mean, nevermind the 8 out of 15 seasons with a .500 or worse record, 8 seasons with 16 wins or less (and cruising for a 9th by the looks of it), and a winning percentage of .503, he won a natty once and that's all that matters.
  13. They played St Cloud tough the weekend before that too.
  14. C'mon, let's not be totally ridiculous here! I'm guessing your beer league team would put 4-5 at most on the board against Michigan.
  15. Yes, Westrum. Lucia claimed that he was simply trying to "push off" with his skate and didn't realize the DU player was there, hence the appeal.
  16. Didn't St Donnie appeal the suspension a number of years ago of a certain Gopher who kicked a DU player in the chest with his skate?
  17. Ugh...how about this? 2 - win in regulation. 2 - win in OT (5 on 5). 1 - OT tie. 0 - regulation or OT loss. Seems easy enough.
  18. Somebody got the joke.
  19. I'm still having problems with my poll.
  20. So....who is making the trip to Minneapolis - it's just over a month away!
  21. Duran Duran? Kajagoogoo? Bananarama? Are you guys JOKING? Yea, they're all on my iPod.
  22. But imagine what Scott Sandelin could do with UND's talent and facilities! And he won that natty five years ago too!
  23. They "lost" at the end? Ugh...
  24. Whoa whoa whoa. Are you trying to tell me that there were NINE goals scored in a SOCCER game?
  25. C'mon, Ox, you're better than that...NCAA semi-final game recipe of poor goaltending + bad defense = Hakstol's fault. Flash forward a season and it's still a shot at a coach who hasn't exactly fallen flat on his face in the NHL so far. BTW, the dark jersey idea at home sucks, NCHC.
