Give the kid some props - he's had a hellofa college career and deserves every accolade being thrown his way. If he doesn't make it in the NFL, so what? I used to work with the State of MN. One year, my department came in under budget $56K. That money was promptly transferred to another department that was over budget. The next cycle, my department was cut $56K (as it was pre-ordained to that other department). What happened? Did we even out? Nope. My department was under budget again by $30K and theirs was over. And guess what happened a second time... If you wrote a $10 billion check to the state (or your local school district) tomorrow, they'd be back again next year saying "that was nice...but can you spare another billion?" next year. if I make $250K per year and spent $350K, do I have a budget shortfall? No, I have a spending problem.
