With all due respect, had UND lost to Denver in last spring's semi-final game, those folks who currently nod their respective heads in agreement with your facts would instead be lamenting UND's failure to win the big one.
I seem to recall a young Chay Genoway with a -5 Saturday evening against UNH or Maine a number of years ago...that was a rough weekend. Worse than that?
I tend to stay out of the game-day threads over there as no matter what I say, I'll be perceived as a troll. Plus, I don't tend to get too riled up over mid-October games.
I'm pretty sure that bigskyvikes started this thread in jest when UND was down 2-0 in last night's game. It was a dig at all the complainers who pop out of the woodwork whenever the Hawks find themselves playing poorly for more than a 15-second stretch on home ice. Had nothing to do with Hakstol potentially being canned by Philly after one full season and four games of a second.
LOL! One week into the NHL season?
Hakstol received rave reviews for coaching a pretty sub-par Philly team to the playoffs last year. But let's whine about him not winning the Stanley Cup, I guess.
