I had freebies thanks to a buddy but did notice that around the arena. I had the same problem at the 2000 regional at Mariucci. Gopher fans all around the building asking for WAY MORE than face value for tickets. Maybe 4,000 actual attendees once I got in the door.

That's a big if. I saw the local news bit on the millions of dollars worth of "improvements" to Target Center - most of the segment discussed fresh paint and new menu options. Zero mention of anything that will improve the boards, ice conditions, etc.

Viewers on TV won't be impressed by "announced" attendance numbers.
