I though the same thing of UMass-Lowell a few years ago after their first game...then they went out a day later and got waxed by Notre Dame. Momentum can change in a hurry with time off. New blood in the Frozen Four. Congratulations, UMass.
Oof. Some big hits today as #2 Bowling Green, #3 Mankato, and #4 Northeastern all go by the wayside. On the bright side, #15 Notre Dame is gone. I’m a bit concerned about the remaining field and their chances against UMD, though.
You're right, runaroundsioux. I guess expecting the team to sweep Canisius on the road to have a chance to get to the tournament in Fargo was too tall of a task to handle this year. I almost hope Denver wins #9 so you can go off on here about how they're the worst national champion you've ever seen.
Some schools take advantage of the breaks they’re given...unlike North Dakota this season. Can’t blame the Friars for the obvious flaw in the system. Besides, if Providence was the host school, the Friars would he there anyways.
If you have a ticket and live near Fargo, there is ZERO excuse to eat it and stay home. Go and maybe watch some college hockey history being made today.
They joined the B1G like 30 minutes ago. Sorry, the B1G was always Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Penn State, and Wisconsin. Notre Dame's not a "true" member for another few years yet.
