I am sure all athletes feel this way. Its too bad certain fans can't see it this way.

Alcorn State football stars: Donald Driver--drafted in 1999; Steve McNair--drafted 1996. NCAA policy--2005!!
-
2004 was the last time Alcorn St won more than 6 games...amazing that since the 2005 policy they have had only 2 winning seasons 05, and 06 both at 6-5. Since then 14-38. Yep lets be the next Alcorn State.

The Sanctions and Punishments Have Arrived

Tell that to Chris Mussman -
I don't see any reason they won't. If they can allow Alcorn State to be on sanctions so can UND. However all that may be over in a couple weeks when the NDSC comes back with their ruling.

Thats how Florida State got the NCAA shaking in their shoes when the policy of 2005 came out. Their delegates got involved, ours stand silent. Which gets me they (Dorgan, and Pomeroy) went to UND why not stand up for their school (Conrad didn't go to UND). Now there are no UND alumns in congress and still the 3 in congress does nothing (Berg-NDSU, Hoeven-Dartmouth (intersting he was there during their Indians nickname removal), and Conrad-George Washington). Lost cause counting on those 3 to do something now. -
On Friday March 23rd...the UND countdown to be official DI members will stand at 100 days!! Yes after 4 years of transition (not including the last year of our DII days) UND will be official DI members in all sports.

Is the 3rd period avaliable online? I checked Youtube but nothing. Is there a link to the game.

Nothing will happen to the NCAA unless congress gets involved. Even if UND were forced to forfiet and there is a media storm the NCAA will do nothing. They are the giant and we are peasants the only way to take down the giant...get a bigger giant (congress). -
This SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
-
Something like this: UND could do this for their new football jerseys too.

I guess ESPN could blur out the name and logo on all the film. They could just ask how they do it at St. Cloud State since our name and logo hasn't been recognized there for years. -

Not in basketball. The only sports affected would be football and hockey for playoff games (I am unsure about volleyball). -
Remember the old jerseys that had the word Sioux diagonally..UND should do that but with the word Dakota on the front. No logo just Dakota. If we can't be Sioux during the tournament we can be Dakota!!!

Anyone else think its odd how all other UND sports do not have a uniform problem except hockey? Makes you wonder if we were like NDSU without a hockey team if this fight would still be going on. Or if Al Carlson just wanted to take down UND's #1 sport. -

ESPN can show highlights of UND's hockey past and present. If they can do that at Marquette or Stanford, or Dartmouth they can do it at UND. Its called history, just like when the NCAA said not ALL logos at the REA has to go, they are of historical value, just like our 7 DI titles are historical. They (NCAA) cannot police the fans because at Dartmouth the students and fans still wear Indians shirts. As long as the band, cheerleaders, and members of the team don't have the name and logo UND will be fine. If Joe Blow shows up in a UND Blackhawk jersey or any UND Indian logo jersey the NCAA isn't going to do anything. I listened to Pat Sweeney call a UND hockey or basketball game during the brief retirement (before the petitions were complete) and let the "Sioux" word slip. It happens, I think the NCAA get it. I am sure it happened at Marquette going from Warriors to Eagles. -
BC, UND, Michigan, Miami.....UND beating Michigan to win their 8th DI National Title!!!
-
http://home.freeuk.net/elloughton13/today.htm I suppose since there is no Aztec Tribe in the United States then to the NCAA's eyes its okay for SDSU to use it.

Went to the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Fargo and saw a hell of a lot of UND shirts and only a few NDSU ones.
-
I wonder if its about recruiting.
-
Must have been Lakes.

Could that on in November be over turned by the legislature? Then petitioned, and so on.

Its okay that Aces1180 guy loves to call me names as he trolls on here copies what we type then weasel on back to BVille and post it there to make fun of it. Instead of being a Man and posting what he thinks of what we write on this board where everyone can see it. I am not registered on BVille nor would I ever but be a man not a two year old. Did you hear what he said..he he he he. What a tool. As for the AC fans getting back at UND...why don't they drive to south Fargo knock on Crazy Al's door and ask him why did he have to get involved? Even though Al is one of their own.

I wouldn't think NDSU would get into the MVC due to the crappy garage they play in. Once the new BSA is built then they should talk about leaving the Summit but they haven't even got the funds for that yet. As for the Horizon...wouldn't travel be a problem. (I am sure to Bison fans it wouldn't be since they were ready to pack for the BSC twice). But distance from Fargo to Green Bay and Milwaukee is the closest cities...500 miles to Green Bay and 571 to Milwaukee. If they make fun of us traveling thoughout the BSC...this would be no picnic for them.
-
They (Bisonville) feel its UND's problem..fine restrict the signatures to only those at UND or associated with UND. No NDSU fans allowed. If they (NDSU fans) sign the petition they should feel the consequences because they are telling the NCAA they support a school to break NCAA policy...so why shouldn't they (NDSU) be punished by the NCAA. Aren't they an accessory to the crime?
