Say for argument sake the law is ruled unconstitutional...what does this do to the petitions for the one in November, does that still go on? And does this take some steam out of the SL trial set in 2013?

Thanks Gene for your dedication to UND athletics, and bringing home back to back to back National titles!!! I was at the one in 97 at the Hyslop the atmosphere was electric. UND's first National Title in basketball and it was an incredible site. Couldn't have done it without a great coach. Enjoy retirement!! You will be missed.

Some NDSU fans want UND to go against the NCAA policy and keep the name. Therefore IMO NDSU should get punished. This is not a college against the NCAA its the state against the NCAA and if one school goes down the whole state goes down. People on BVille is blaming UND...this is NOT UND's problem. They were retiring the name when Al "NDSU alumn" Carlson came into the picture. Again why is this UND's problem??

That is what I don't get. UND doesn't want the name, all the coaches, facilty, and even the SBoHE doesn't want it. But yet the NCAA who rules the school wants to punish them. Can't they see its not UND's fault the name came back its North Dakota's politics that the name came back. So maybe sanctions against all NCAA schools in the state need to be punished.
