Unless our QB either gets hurt, or thows 5 picks, stick with one QB for the whole game. I think if Muss says lets go with 2 QBs in almost every game it will be a disaster. Pick a QB before the Valpo game and stick with him.

That's why I think defense is more important than who is throwing/handing off the ball. Last year we had 2 QB's that weren't starters...Hanson (didn't start at UNC) and Hendrickson (non-starter). Same situation this year 2 QB's that haven't started for UND and we should get the same result, like you said Bison06 is high scoring offense, but if we can start to get a solid defense like back in the GWFC and DII days we can win against most anybody. I think our offense was the problem in our GWFC days, now its the defense. We need to fix both problems and like UNDColorado said we need a running game, and I think we need a solid defense.

Its not the offense I am worried about. If we give up 40 points a game its not Mollberg/Bartels's fault.

I am sure the same goes with NDSU and Fargo PD to. Every time they get a call about a football player breaking the law they try to keep it hush hush as not to jeopardize the season.

6-5 would no way get us in, as for ripping at your prediction, the games you have us losing to I can see, however all of those (except Northern Arizona) are at home. UND plays tough at home and led against Cal Poly, beat Montana, and led against NAU so they can hang with the big boys but it has to be for a full 60 minutes and it all depends on if our defense has improved. I think the first 3 games of the year will seal UND's playoff fate. If our defense struggles against Valpo, SDSU and UM then playoffs won't be in the future, but if we shut down those 3 (especially SDSU and UM) then I can see UND having success against EWU and MSU. Remember with a packed dome it can get loud...pretty close to Fargodome loud like in the 2001 playoff game against UC Davis when they had 7 fall starts due to the noise. Early success will pack the dome.

7-4 with our SOS gets us in (IMO) due to the expansion of playoff teams this year to 24.

I bring up NDSU because they are playing a top 10 team like USD is going to do, something SU has never done.

However look at SDSU they lost 17-3 to Nebraska, in a place like the Sea of Red that would be worth the paycheck. Then again UND got spanked by Idaho.

If UND were to play a big name team and get destroyed, that could hurt the team morale, and sink your season. Our game against Texas Tech didn't really matter since we were playing for a GWFC title and our first year of being a counter team. I know how we stack up to the Bama's and Oregon's and its not good. Big difference between them and the bottom feeders of the MAC, Big 10, and Big 12. Our buddies to the south will find out that Kansas St is not the same as the team they beat in Lawrence.

Maybe an OOC with other BSC member for a 12th game.
