I think its hard to have a long standing rivalry when teams switch cities and/or divisions as much as hockey. There is still Montreal/Boston, Detroit/Toronto. But Winnipeg/Vancouver got lost in the Jets moving to Phoenix and even Atlanta moving back to Winnipeg they aren't in the same division. But hopefully as time goes on new rivals (Minnesota-Winnipeg) can get a rivalry going.

I heard during the Jets/Wild game that this is a rivalry game....for who? The Jets have never been in the same division as the Wild/North Stars, maybe its only by distance but isn't Chicago more of a rival game for the Wild than Winnipeg? Us Jets fans hate the Canucks more than Minnesota (of course everyone hates Detriot ).

Uniforms were so ugly back in the 70's.

Fans who grew up with UND football (like me, since my dad took me to my first game in 1985) saw how horrible this team was in the 80's, and this team is starting to swing towards that decade who saw Behrns fired in the middle of it and RT dragging this team out of the mudpit. Now you have Muss playing the part of Behrns so hopefully we can get the next RT to drag this team out of the mudpit this team has been in since 2008.

:lol: As an Indians fan I would be very pissed to see them change their name and logo. I saw a little less Chief Wahoo this year with the team going with a "C" on their caps but I hope its not a sign of things to come.

I just hope its not the blizzard or freeze, or anything with bugs (mosquitos, gnats). Nicknames like Varmints or Channel Cats were good for minor league teams but not schools. Also nothing with just green...Big Green (Dartmouth), or Fighting Green or the Mean Green (North Texas). I am sure Roughriders will be tops on everyone's(those involved with the name changing committee) list. It would be tough for anyone that went to Central to cheer for Rough Riders. Norse sounds good, but it sounds like something associated with Vikings (Augustana, Minnesota (NFL), Portland State). Cavalry sounds violent (think PC now). Just think in just 14 months this brainstorm will become a reality. FOURTEEN MONTHS!!

Just proves how the fanbase and the success of women's volleyball has grown.
