Regular season doesn't matter in the SL tourney since the whole conference (except transitional Omaha) makes it. Whichever team is hot in the tourney will win it, which wasn't NDSU since 2009.

This poll came out on Monday so the only game we had was UM-Morris. I can see why we didn't get any votes.

I know, that's why its funny to see teams like Alcorn State, GSU, and EWU ahead of Kansas.

I actually was thinking the same thing, plus they have played 3 DI teams where UND has only Wisconsin to measure how everyone is doing. It could be a factor but at the same time, we are at home, and that should help greatly since it will be at the Betty.

2011 we also played 3 non DI teams so that didn't help attendance.

But what's the point of getting players that won't fit in the new coaches game plan. Each coach will choose what players to look for and I am sure Muss and the new coach will have different schemes.

One major problem with Muss's team was discipline, would BB be capable to kick butt and disipline those getting out of line on the sidelines? He was a good player, the question remains what kind of coach would he make?

I have a feeling he may be right. Could you imagine the instant excitement if the new head coach wins his first game against FBS San Jose St. That itself would be a way to get butts back into the seats.

Because I think he was the best coach UND had since RT, and I want UND getting back to that level again. Even though Central has a Brooks Bollinger shrine in its gym I don't think he is a good "head coach", maybe a coordinator or QB coach.

I think if a coach can take a DII team and in back to back years beat Northern Iowa and destroy Southern Utah he should be looked at. Lennon/Bubba resurrecting UND to the top.

At least Faison saw where our team was heading and change needed to be done. Just look at out other programs that got turned around from Faison's hiring...men's bb, VB, and women's hockey. He has done a great job since taking over.

So if days, weeks, months go by and Muss is still the active coach then you lose out instead of getting a jump start on the new UND 2.0 (as Sic calls it). If you are going to fire him then get it over with. Pro coaches get canned all the time in mid season, it's a sign that change is coming.

He should have been canned after the Montana State game, but the latest should be by 5pm today. Any later and you risk losing out on fans, recruits, transfers, and most of all a new head coach.

No no there will be noise...from the opposing fans, and the face palm by Faison after every loss if he keeps Muss.

Faison gave Muss 3 years to expand on the success of 2011 (when the contract extension was made), and he failed in 2012, and 2013. He has 2 more seasons on the extension, but I hope that doesn't matter.
