Winona State has the identical logo as Merrimack. So if UND becomes Warrior someone would need to come up with a logo that is 1. non Native American like 2. original 3. has no lighting bolt as we aren't the SD Chargers.

I know the BSC thought about neutral site for the bball tournament I thought they would look at a neutral site for volleyball, but like you said it's not going to pack the place no reason not to have it off campus of the conference winner.

I would rather have UND be the Nodaks instead of just North Dakota.

I wonder if attendance would be better at a neutral location like SLC, Vegas or even Denver.

Minnesota and North Stars go together. Why not be the UND Badgers, or UND Buckeyes. At least Oilers isn't a state/Province nickname of Texas and Alberta.

Because of Al Carlson's "state law" it messed up the timeline, but UND has retired the name so the NCAA is allowing the "cooling off period" to continue until Jan 1, 2015. After that time if UND were to announce of no nickname forever, the NCAA would revert back to the settlement and throw UND back on the sanctions list with Alcorn State.
