    2016 Season

Hopefully they will be fine with a possible 2-3 week break.
  2. Thats sad, its not like the vote was 269-269 with 1 vote left. Trump won fair and square, they need to go home and think about what went wrong and how to make it right in 4 years. What went wrong was Debbie Wassermann-Schultz blackballing Bernie off the ticket in favor of Hillary. They should be protesting her (Schultz) not Trump. I didn't vote for Trump, but I also am not going to go out and protest about him winning. Lets see what he does starting Jan, 20, and take it from there.
  3. Maybe its not YSU leaving but Western Illinois leaving. Aren't they in the worst of the worst as far as athletic budgets go. Dropping football and keeping the founding member of the SL alive in other sports might be a reason.
  4. SDSU, NDSU, USD, UNI, SIU, YSU, thats 6 games that has interest if they stay on the schedule every year. Big Sky has Montana, MSU, EWU, and maybe NAU that sparks any interest and thats 4 games out of a possible 9 game proposed schedule.
  5. But its not an empty road with no one protesting. He's had a lot of death threats over the last 8 years, there was a lot of hate out there back in 08 and in 12 just like today. Social media and media in general helps fuel that fire.
  6. You mean this: http://www.revelist.com/politics/america-responds-obama/5855/yes-this-is-the-ultimate-acceptance-of-a-presidentelect/1
  7. Related as in the same person. Its amazing how that guy disappears and his twin suddenly shows up with the same trolling trash.
  8. I went to every home game that season (playoffs too) had the same seat number for each game no matter the section, just whatever I could to add extra luck that season and winning the NCC, and beating the Bison was awesome.
  9. Someone said we had another team lined up but backed out, do you know who that was?
  10. That was my first OT game that turned into double OT. I never thought it would end with every try towards the end zone would end in a replay review. I still remember my dad saying when the game was a final, " let's get out of here before the refs change their minds". That game I think was turning point in how this season went.
  11. I was there with my parents, unfortunately we had to sit on the Bison side, the amazement of people running with the goal post after seeing us win for the first time since 1980 was quite a sight.
  12. Since your first question is the only fair one I will directly answer that with this: I want to see UND play teams of equal caliper all the time. We did the rollercoaster of upper level teams, level teams and then lower level teams during transition in all sports. Now it seems we only see the Bison with an occasional one other team. Seeing us playing Crown or Mayville does nothing for the excitement level. They might as well be exhibition games. I do agree with someone that said if they play non DI's play St.Cloud or Augie or even Moorhead State.
  13. Let me ask you this when someone besides me says why don't they schedule the other 346 DI teams do you get online and ask them the last home game they attended and how many have they been to in five years. Cause I don't see that towards the other people that have commented about the lack of DI teams at home.
  14. I was thinking the same thing.
  15. I guess we will see what happens next year when the new schedule comes out.
  16. Protesters blocking a railroad line with a truck and was going to set it on fire before police moved in with arrests. But now things are getting crazy with not just blocking roads but blocking the tracks. That could cause a horrific train derailment and possible loss of life and or disaster depending on what the train was carrying. Winter can't come fast enough to get those nut jobs out of there. http://www.kfyrtv.com/content/news/25-DAPL-protesters-arrested-after-blocking-railroad-tracks-attempting-to-light-truck-on-fire-401337676.html
  17. UND over GVSU to win it all. Nothing beats that, as for as a close second, UND over UC Davis in the 2001 playoff game that got us to Alabama. That Alerus was so rocking loud that caused UC Davis problems on offense. It was a fun experience to be there and contribute to the loudness of the dome.
  18. Since 2012 our first season in the Big Sky here is the DI home non-conference teams we have played: 2012-13: UMKC (lost), Bowling Green (won) 2013-14: NDSU (won), South Dakota St (lost) 2014-15: Omaha (lost) 2015-16: UNI (lost), NDSU (lost) 2015-16 NDSU (to be played) Combined record 2-5 Our last year in the GWC (2011-12) we had 5 home DI non-conference games (UND went 4-1 with wins over Montana, NDSU, SDSU, Idaho State, loss to WIU). Maybe its more about the record than money.
  19. So it's attendance that causes people not to show up against Crown College or Dickinson State. Think about that.
  20. I contribute nothing? I am a die hard fan who was going to games since I was 8 years old. I have attended 2 football games this season, plus i actively partake in this non affiliated message board about the school I love. Don't you dare tell me I contribute nothing. As a moderator you should be ashamed by making a statement like that about an active member. Maybe Jim Dahl needs to revolk your moderator privledge.
  21. He has defended jones as a coach for a long time "see fire jones thread". What does my attendance have to do with scheduling DI non conference opponents at home. Games don't count unless I am there. That's a new one.
  22. I have a clue, look at our very pathetic non-conference home games since entering the DI era and it sucks. Brian Jones (I know your hero) does a crappy job of scheduling opponents not named Crown, presentation or a city in North Dakota not located in Fargo. I have a right to complain along with Northernraider does, or are you saying his thought doesn't matter either. Don't like it don't comment on it.
  23. UND can't pony up USD, SDSU, Omaha, Denver, any DI Wisconsin teams not named Badgers. We can't be that hurt for money because Bincitysioux says we are fine, that's why we should stay in the Big Sky. We should have tons of Summmit League opponents at the Betty every year by staying in the Big Sky and scheduling closer opponents.
  24. Like Northernraider said 346 DI teams and all we can get at home is because of an agreed home/home. If it wasn't for the Bison agreeing to this we would have ZERO DI non conference games at home. That's pathetic. And doesn't the basketball scheduling fall on the coach instead of the AD?
  25. Ark St, UND, and UC Davis is what NDSU has at home, and we only have NDSU when they all agreed to a home/home.
