  1. If you thought Trump was a racist before last night, would his answer have convinced you otherwise or further solidified your notions?
  2. He also should have more aggressively denounced white supremacism. He answered it, but he didn't do it in a way that convinced anyone. I don't want racism to be political moving forward, we need to decide that it's a hard line in the sand. Racism isn't to be tolerated.
  3. I agree with that. With Hillary in 2016, she was not well liked by either side, so attacking her personally came across as heroic. Biden, as a person, is incredibly likeable and much more respected. Attacking him personally was never going to come off well. Trump should have kept it to the issues, on which I believe he would have done incredibly well in a debate against Biden.
  4. How many of those beds are filled with Covid patients?
  5. It's this sort of rhetoric from people on both sides that will never move the conversation forward in our country. Nobody should be asked to endorse every single thing that a candidate has every said or done. Trump says something and this person uses it as a reason to "despise his supporters". Does he despise Biden supporters when he hears Biden try to defend his racist past comments?
  6. I agree, he is who he is at this point, but he certainly doesn't have the same luster he had in the 2016 debates.
  7. I'm not sure what the strategy coming in for Trump was, but I thought he made a tactical mistake in interrupting Biden so much. Biden has a tendency to let his thoughts get pretty nonsensical the more he speaks, I would have just let him talk and see if he gets down a dead end thought road and doesn't know how he got there. Last night was an embarrassment for our country.
  8. That’s fair, we just disagree. He’s a human. When your family is being threatened, I give anyone a pass for displaying emotion.
  9. I’m not sure a person can be judged by how they respond to accusations they believe to be false against them. His actions, though driven by emotion, didn’t rise to a level that disqualifies him for me. Edit: if I remember properly, his kids were facing serious bullying and online vitriol leading up to the hearing. He has a right to be emotional about defending his family.
  10. I didn’t say that, what I did say is you’ve accepted that the latest accusation are true even though you have zero information to back it up. Due process doesn’t matter to you when it comes to people you don’t like.
  11. And what will you say when this comes back and isn’t actually true following the investigation? You’ll say nothing and move on to the next wild accusation the media will make. How you can’t see this pattern with the media is impossible to understand. Unfounded accusation...media frenzy...people up in arms...orange man bad...find out the truth...move on to next unfounded accusation.
  12. Your last statement is a powerful referendum on the power of the media. You’ve already accepted their accusation as truth. Due process is dead in this country.
  13. Take your lithium.
  14. You're living proof that idiocy knows no political affiliation.
  15. You're oversimplifying his appeal so you can insult those you disagree with.
  16. I have friends who have money on him not even making it to the election. Probably gonna lose that money at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised.
  17. Your assessment isn't wrong, but it doesn't give proper credit to the left and the direction of the country that lead to him being elected to begin with.
  18. You think I’m joking? The state of Minnesota purchased a warehouse for dead bodies.
  19. Think we'll need the warehouse the state purchased to hold all of the dead bodies?
  20. You're right, let's go back to when politicians were well spoken nice liars. That was much better.
  21. Yeah, Trump doesn't have any inside information as the leader of the free world. Seek help.
  22. I'll never understand how people who don't have 1% of the information will be so quick to draw conclusions when there are people who get paid to do these things and have 100% of the pertinent information(IRS) and they haven't charged him. Do you think it's possible the IRS is better at deciding his guilt or innocence?
  23. Great and if he did anything illegal he will be punished accordingly. What's the issue?
  24. I'm not confusing anything. Wealthy people rarely pay personal income tax. They own real estate which they are depreciating, they own business assets which they are depreciating. They pay millions upon millions in taxes, but not personal income tax. Capital gains tax, payroll tax, property tax, corporate income tax etc. You are the one who doesn't understand and it shows.
  25. And if he is their employer, guess what he has to pay to run their payroll??????? You guessed it, taxes!!!
