How great is this? A UND fan and an NDSU fan speaking in a friendly way. The lion and the lamb laying down together. With what we just accomplished we should get together and work on the middle east next. Let this be a lesson to all of us. haha.

That is exactly my point, so to say one team's OOC schedule is more impressive than another team's isn't accurate, just wait and year and it will be flipped.

Seems to be the MO around here lately, make a ridiculous comment, be proven wrong by the facts and then cry about NDSU fans trolling. Edit: I get a kick out of the get a life comment on an internet message board btw. For every minute I spend here typing, you are spending a minute reading it, so it appears we both need to get a life if that is the case.

Pretty big statement to say you'll beat the reigning national champ when you can't hold a team to under 40 points.

Not in the playoffs when it counts, we had our guys healthy and that is the difference from season to season.

When UND starts making playoff runs and wins a national championship, let's have this conversation again. Teams DO NOT want to schedule NDSU OOC in the FCS. We have had numerous teams back out and many others who won't even pick up the phone when NDSU calls. We have been through this 100 times, I don't see why it is so hard to understand.

Ok, how is that different than how NDSU has handled scheduling? Montana is technically OOC, but UND has a natural in road to get that game scheduled due to your conference affiliation. That schedule looks pretty similar to the way NDSU schedules, not sure where the differences are? 2008 OOC for NDSU compares to this year for UND. Austin Peay, Central Connecticut and Wyoming. 2009 Iowa State, Sam Houston State, Wagner. Looks like a wash to me, if not NDSU having a more difficult second year of transition schedule due to the FBS game.

Who has UND scheduled OOC that you feel your scheduling has been superior to NDSU's?

I realize we could have this conversation for many, many years and still not agree on things and I am fine with that. But please realize that you are a fan of the other side of one of the biggest rivalries in the entire country and your opinion of Bison fans, however objective you may feel you are being, is skewed.

I hate to be mean-spirited about it all, but technically NDSU is superior to all of it's peers. Being reigning national champs and all that is a bragging right NDSU fans get to carry with them until a new champion is crowned.

I think the injury bug that we didn't really have to deal with in a big way last year has reared it's ugly head this year. As a Bison fan I like to be optimistic, but I just don't see NDSU repeating as national champions. I would glad be thrilled to be proven wrong however.

I am not even sure how to respond to that. In Fargo, football is king, just like hockey in Grand Forks. You really think NDSU fans think that we are unable to be beaten? Considering NDSU hasn't had an undefeated season in well over two decades, I think ALL NDSU fans are well aware NDSU can and most likely will be beaten again.

And you think NDSU fans are arrogant?

Consider the sources man. You were speaking with people who ended up choosing UND, of course they aren't going to have amazing things to say about NDSU they didn't choose to attend NDSU. What's interesting is I would say that NDSU recruiters made me feel much more like a family than UND did. So just goes to show you that your opinion on something is all based on perspective. Edit: For the record I don't recall anyone at NDSU ever asking me who else was recruiting me. I can't speak for how things were before I played though.

I was recruited by both and I didn't experience one difference in style or language in my recruitment. To say that UND usually gets more high character guys is a homer statement and you know it. Not a fact. Players get in trouble at every single school in the country, it has very little reflection on the level of their character.

Are you just trying to start trouble or what is the deal with this comment?

Some have mentioned finding way to keep the students involved in the games. Something NDSU has done that UC Davis used to do is to implement the idea of student section yell leaders. I believe many of the Big Ten schools have these and it is considered a great honor to be chosen for this job. Ohio State comes to mind as I know they have a very organized student section. Anyway, it seems to really get the student section more involved and to take ownership of the chants/cheers they are doing. Something to think about if UND isn't already doing this to get the students all involved and have a great time at the games. Edit: Also, something I've noticed is that once the student section is consistent about the cheers they do, the rest of the crowd picks up on it after a few games and pretty soon the whole crowd is into the cheers/chants. I believe atmosphere at the games begins with the student section as they will always be the most vocal of all of the fans and the rest of the stadium can feed off of that.

Wow, that is extremely high praise. As all of you guys know, Weston was amazing. I'll admit I have only seen the highlight reels of Hardin, but if he is that good I hope to catch a game on TV later in the season.

Purely looking at his stats he looks to be in the conversation for this year so far at least. But, how many of you have seen a lot of FCS games this year to even know what he would be up against to be considered the best in FCS?

It isn't that I am unwilling to have a conversation about the players who have broken the law. Only that there is no new information to discuss, so what is there to talk about? The status of the situation hasn't changed for over a week, when we get new information I would be happy to discuss it again. Until then, this perpetual pissing contest is keeping me entertained until my wife gets done getting ready and we can head out for the day. Thanks fellas, I appreciate the fun.

I can't speak for anyone else I guess, but I certainly don't feel inferior to anything UND has ever accomplished.
