Well, if you don't want to be seen in that light, why did it take me pointing out the lack of outrage to get you angry? Seems to me if you aren't just feigning anger that you would have been outraged before I quoted the post. The post I responded to had been on this site for quite a while.

You're missing my point completely or more likely avoiding it. My point isn't that UND didn't suspend the players, as I've said, this happens at every school. So stop bringing Beck up, it has no relevance in the discussion. My point is that UND fans aren't outraged by the fact that the players weren't suspended. It gets brushed under the rug when it's your players, but is on the front page of every discussion board and blog when it's NDSU players.

Whoa, easy man. Nobody is putting a halo on anyone. GT is no different than most ADs when these things happen. I'm just holding true to what I have said all along. These things happen at EVERY SCHOOL in the country, and punishment is handed out internally without suspensions in most cases. Just find it ironic that when the shoe is on the other foot, there isn't an uproar and phrases like loss of institutional control don't get thrown out. Weird how none of this has been reported on. Guess media does play a role in public perception, contrary to the beliefs that were cited by most on this board this summer.

Much bigger issues than off the field run-ins with the law? That certainly wasn't the response from the fans on this board this summer when the shoe was on the other foot. Coming from the program that has "suspended players for missing class", I would have expected a swift and measured response to such heinous action as a college student drinking.

I don't doubt it, never have, but I've also never cared in the slightest. Just find it odd that he is being so disingenuous about using the name. Out of one side of his mouth, he uses that name as to somehow disparage the University, while out of the other side saying "why would you be embarrassed, it's a great name". His logic doesn't hold up, as usual.

My guess is your real name isn't actually Hayduke, but that's what everyone on here calls you. I'm not embarrassed in the least about that name. Agriculture is a necessary and noble profession and in many ways is on the cutting edge of science. I just find it interesting that YOU think people are embarrassed about it so you use it in a way that is disparaging. I can't decide what's more embarrassing for you. You're inability to actually keep your posts from being personal attacks(the sign that you don't have anything intelligent to add) or the fact that you think you are actually refuting anything I'm saying.
