Flush that prediction down the toilet as well as NDSU to the AAC.  Bozoville is all over the AAC FBS rumor started by Lakes.  The AAC is too high a conference to invite an FCS school, their stadium for fall and b-ball are too small, and NDSU’s academics are too low.

The WAC would have to add an FCS team for five years.

I'm going to trust a rep from the athletic department joining the WAC over what you say on this one.

The autobid in FCS isn't as big of a thing as you make it out to be. Once they get enough members, they'll have a conference for scheduling purposes until they get that autobid.

It's not incredibly hard to have at least one team from your scholarship football conference make the playoffs without the autobid.

An FCS WAC? Where have we seen that before?

    Oh yeah...

I also was the first to mention the WAC looking at being an FCS conference, which seems much more likely at this point than any predictions you've made.

Crazy - I thought he was going to be our deep threat when he first got on the field.

What good is a deep threat if your QB can't chuck the pigskin?

  4. Would be really nice for UND if both RBs for Weber are out for the game. The starter, Davis, for sure is out.

The backup looked like dislocated shoulder or maybe collarbone.

No need to apply for anything the way I understand it. If he only plays four games this year he can come back next year.

Yes, but if he were able to use that sophomore year as his redshirt, then he could play all the games for the rest of this year and still get next year.

Makes it much easier for the coaches.

He could but we know how the NCAA treats anything related to UND, we are a mosquito to them.

Of course UND is. But there must be other schools that have the same issue who are much bigger.

Side note, I'm hearing there's a chance Holm could be back next year regardless. Not sure if that's related to him only playing 4 games this year or if it's related to that Sophomore year. Would be great if he was able to play more than 4 this year and also get that year back.

So he should have said something to the trainers and doctors after his surgery and probably would have gotten a red-shirt season, instead he didn't say anything until it was to late.

I may be misinterpreting your post, but it seems you're blaming him for not expressing his concerns earlier to coaches/trainers. While I agree that it could have been helpful, I also think when you get to the upper levels of competitive hockey, there's a stigma to admitting something is wrong and seeking that help.  Hell, it's something that has a stigma in everyday life.

I think instead of blaming the player, we blame and work to fix the culture of making players feel like they have to hide/play through their problems/injuries. Every year, we hear about guys who play through some horrific types of injuries that would have sidelined a normal person for months. And we applaud the guys for being tough and old-time hockey players. And that's what these kids feel: they need to push through the pain and suffering, even if it's detrimental to the team at times. And especially, even if it's detrimental to their long-term health.

It doesn't apply to Rodgers because he took a redshirt year, but are there any instances where a player could petition the NCAA for an extra year based on the new 4-game redshirt rules?

For example, Evan Holm (the only UND player I've found that this applies to). He played as a true freshman in 16-17. 4 games in 17-18. Rule gets passed the following summer. Plays more than 4 in 18-19 and presumably 19-20.

Based on rules at the time, that makes him a true senior. But can he petition the NCAA to have that true sophomore year considered as a redshirt year for not exceeding the 4 game limit? Just retroactively applying the 4-game rule.

Also, the UND football roster website is horribly inconsistent. Sometimes it list players as a Redshirt Fr/So/Jr/Sr and other times it's just as Fr/So/Jr/Sr even if they took a redshirt year. Made doing this research much more difficult, as I initially thought it could have applied to 3-4 more players.

If there's not a community rule prohibiting high-brow, intellectual discourse on this site...there ought to be.

This thread is quite the stretch to try and make something that's religious into something associated with universities.

    But, I'll play along.

@SiouxVolley, what type of proven science should they be teaching at universities?

This is why you schedule a 12th game. I don't think there's any worry at 8-4.

But how beat up is UND if they have to play another game next week? Potentially, having to win the last 3 of 4 with an injured D line.

Before the season I would have preferred UND to play 12 games, but that late-season bye sure seems to be helpful.

Welcome to today’s America. Pretty pathetic the Big Sky would award this obvious cheater. I am sure every female runner in the Bis Sky is happy for this GUY!!

She is competing within the rules set forth. If you have a problem with it, take it up with the Big Sky.

I understand this may be premature, but, what are the keys to a Weber St victory?? Basking in the MT st W but just looking a head a bit. Again, gritty win UND football!!!

They played well against two MWC teams, beat perennial best 5 loss team UNI, and have won the games they should.

This week and next should tell us more. If they don't win in blowouts in both, then UND could steal the game.

Sure wasn’t Rudolph performance to me. UND would’ve been shut out with Rudolph. Did you see UND’s offensive TD? Not a Rudolph play for sure.

But the offense needs to be more consistent. Too many mistakes to maintain drives. Fumble in first half by Gee didn’t help either. Running game is still absent putting a lot of pressure of misdirection and smoke & mirrors.

I agree, but we're also looking at first and 10 from the 25 if that PI gets rightfully called. Instead, it's 3rd and 10 from the 40.

The offense went a bit too deep into the flea flicker well but those are fun to watch.

It's just so difficult to even have any hope of a win today. This team has crapped the bed so many times in big games when it counts, that to get your hopes up for a win will just leave you crushed.

I'll be watching and hoping for a win but not really expecting one. And that's not how a fanbase should be.

I'll eat that crow every day of the week
