It’s so amazing that the WAC will be down to five full DI members after 2020, GCU, NMSU, Seattle, UVU, and UTRGV, but the trolls want to shut this thread down.  Not having seven full DI members gives the NCAA the right to take away all the WAC’s bids by dissolving it.  Dixie St and California Baptist don’t count.  The WAC needs to find new fully DI schools by next summer.

The WAC is the only non football conference that can invite schools to FBS, so its spots will be in demand.  Have said Sam Houston St, Lamar, McNeese St, maybe UIW, UTRGV, UC Davis, Sac St and Cal Poly will accept the WAC’s offer, and then UVU, Dixie St and Seattle will scurry to the Big Sky.  ORU and UMKC will then join the Texas-based eastern division and the Summit will be screwed.

But then out of no where, the Montanas, Idaho, EWU and Weber St will be so sickened by the new Big Sky that they will join the Summit.

The only contribution that bison trolls have made in the thread is stating their AD’s position, which is “NDSU has no plans to move to FBS in the near term” as proof that NDSU will never move up.  Suspect the football teams in the WAC and Summit will stay FCS until 2022, and then move up.  The Summit will have all the FCS teams under its new league and then they will all be WAC affiliates with North and South divisions until their fully FBS.

The key date to shoot for is 2025, when the CFP contract will be renewed and each G5 team gets a couple million a year under the new estimated terms.

You made it slightly more than a month... not surprising.

You also deleted your original post... not surprising.

Fortunately, the quote button preserves your posts quite well.

My friend is in the process of creating a message board dedicated to the Summit League and asked if I could post it here: http://summitfans.com/

Not much going on yet but he says he's got 10 people to register - just needs some chatter.

Can't wait for Lakes (aka Siouxvolley) and Siouxvolley (aka Lakes) to have the worst conversations ever there.

If I could make one change it would be to get a decent logo design - people would be much more likely to adopt it.

I'm excited to see this Hawks logo that will bring all the Sioux forever crowd on board. Clearly, a new logo is all it will take.

You can----and will infer what ever narrative you want. Youve done it from day one and will continue to do so regardless if its true or not.  Hammer nailed it.

I believe 100% what the family said. Every exact word. Do you?

If not, then Hammer was wrong and you'll believe whatever narrative you think fits.

If so, then your AD is lying and threw a student athlete under the bus to cover his ass.

I’m not sure why you’re so adamant about the verbiage that BR and his mother used.

Nothing is “illegal” by the ncaa, they aren’t police or a court.

The NCAA has a banned substance list. Some things on that list are zero tolerance, others are dependent on the quantity found in the blood. None are “illegal” by the NCAA as they aren’t in the legal vs illegal business.

Since there have been no criminal charges against BR, I think it’s fair to draw the conclusion that he simply used the word illegal when he meant banned. Neither he nor his mother are attorneys who would be choosing their words much more carefully.

And before you accuse me, I’m not calling BR or his mother a liar. I’m simply stating, given the circumstances, they likely used the word illegal, when the correct word would have been banned.

We were just told to read that article very carefully and take our green glasses off.

I did so and the family twice said it was an illegal supplement. But you and others seem very quick to say they misspoke. Perhaps you could take off your supplement tainted piss yellow glasses.

I'm only going off what the article says. I'm not reading between the lines or trying to infer things, like you and other bizun fans.

Can we infer that when they said supplement that they misspoke and didn't understand the verbiage between supplement and substance?

And you're never going to get arrested or charged for failing an ncaa drug test. To believe that because there were no criminal charges means the supplement wasn't banned is being intentionally misleading.

I have to say that I find it amusing that the UND fans claiming to "defend" Brock and his family are actually calling them liars. And the NDSU fans are actually supporting the Robbins's family version of events. Makes me chuckle.

I have yet to see an NDSU fan here say they believe Robbins' when he says he took an illegal supplement.

I would suggest you read that article very carefully and take off the UND colored glasses. All the information is there except what the stimulant was. Fact is according to the player all he took was the supplement.  Caffeine is considered a stimulant.      You still believe him dont you???

I read the article very closely as you suggested. Two quotes calling it an Illegal supplement. Zero quotes  calling it a banned supplement.  That's a big difference. Fact is, according to the player all he took was something illegal.

    3 hours ago, bison73 said:

He is also quoted as say he didnt know what he was taking.  He also said this--- Robbins said he wants people to know he did not intentionally take an illegal supplement.  Supplement and substance are two different things. So again we have narrowed it down to the supplement. Caffeine as mentioned before is not illegal or banned. Only in high levels is it considered unlawful according to the NCAA.

Caffeine is not considered unlawful by the NCAA. It is banned but not against the law.

The supplement is not illegal.  You can make fun of that fact all you want but its true. And yes its stupid but thats the NCAA for you.

The player and parent both said it was illegal. You can deny that fact all you want but it's true.

Perhaps you should read it carefully and focus on the parts where it is called an illegal supplement.

An Ndsu All American said an illegal supplement was widely used. She didn't say banned supplement, she said illegal. As did her son.

  9. As an adidas employee, the tagging is consistent with products made as a trial jersey.

Likely, part of the recent "sample sale" held at the main offices throughout the world. That means he probably paid $10 for it and that it is high enough quality to be seen in public but not what is actually selected by the school.

Should be 2-3 more unapproved designs floating around the US somewhere.

Be careful what you wish for:  cue the SJW crowd demanding the reinstatement of a certain defunct hockey program if that amount happens.

Weren't they looking for $65M to fully endow WIH? That leaves $135M to play with.

    Welcome back women's hockey.

The WAC will have to respond now to stay alive.  It will take Sam Houston St, Lamar, maybe Incarnate Word and a few other Southland teams and UMKC will reconsider and ORU jumps.   UCDavis, Cal Poly and Sac St will also join and that will start the Big Sky reorganization.  The Summit would be an awful position without thee northern Big Sky schools.

Why would any school voluntarily leave a stable conference to join the WAC? They've been on life support for years.

NDSU is at the point of major embarrassment.  They have won more FCS championships than anyone, but no G5 conference interest exists.  They need to go FBS and my plan lays it out.

I'm sure they're incredibly embarrassed to have so many trophies...

    Well....it didn't happen last year....

But for sure it was going to happen this year.....

But now, I guess not. So on to 7/1/20 then? I guess with only 2 weeks left until a self-imposed deadline, time to start hedging.

    Did you expect anything else?

Even the attacking, presumptuous response was predictable.

Damn. Too bad we didn't have Sis Bates on the new name committee.

To sum up. She had a glove which she named Carmella and still keeps and reveres that glove but had to get a new glove. When asked if she had named her new glove she said basically that you don't just slap a name on something, it has to happen organically.

What article did you read?  In no way did she say anything close to your last sentence.  The only thing relating to the name of her new glove is this quote:

    Quote

...lest something happen to her new glove that is still awaiting a name.

Nowhere in the article does she mention the naming process.

I'm just hoping to one day live up to ungreatness that is Downvote Darrell.

Really theres not enough downvotes in the world to truly symbolize the triggered takes of the Hawkzi mob.

But get those ips loaded up and logged in cause I smell more tweets being typed as we speak...

.....and how will the world survive without the "gang" to let them know how wrong they are.

Speaking of triggered... it's comical how predictable the responses to any tweet about the new scoreboard are.

Everyone has to chime in that the Sioux head that very few people can see must stay, even if it causes problems with the internal monitors the team would use.

The  Pioneer Press has a story about no one in the MIAC wants to talk.  All the other schools don’t want to open their traps because the premise of kicking out UST is a lie.  UST wants to advance in divisions.

The PR nightmare these MIAC schools allegedly voluntarily took on to help UST is honorable. Why aren't any news outlets reporting on this lie? You know about it, so surely someone else does. :silly:
