From TSN.ca:
Stanley Cup finds home in Carolina
Commodore with the quote of the day:
Commodore said he didn't manage to get into bed until 7:30 a.m.''From what I remember, it was great,'' he said.

Does anybody know which network(s) will be televising the draft?

My nephew (Fargo South Bruin) was pulling for the Canes. He told me last night there is talk that Cullen said he'd bring it back to Moorhead to have a team pic (former high school team) with the cup. Wouldn't that include Brian Lee?
If it's a picture of the team Cullen played with, it wouldn't include Brian Lee. There's over 10 years age difference between those 2 guys.
KX4 announced last night that Cullen and his wife are hoping to get the cup and bring it to Fargo-Moorhead for their charity event the weekend of July 21st.

Did anybody else see the hit Parise put on Doug Weight in Saturday's game? They were going for a loose puck near the boards, and Parise absolutely flattened him.
-
That would be sweet if the Sioux could land him, it looks like he is putting up some good numbers (and breaking records). Maybe he is the possible recruit to take a goalie roster spot should Jordan go pro.
The NAHL website shows that this kid committed to Bemidji.

I don't know if this was posted or not already...interesting news on how this guy thinks the NHL Draft will look like come June.
It's about half-way down the page when it goes through the 1st 7 Picks.
I like the sound of this:
Draft: Take Toews. Have him go back to North Dakota, play in another World Junior tournament, and win a National Championship in the spring. Then, play him with Jack Skille for the 2007-08 Blackhawks season.Except the part about having him play for the 2007-08 Blackhawks.

Talking about a 3-peat right now is laughable. They'll certainly be very good next year, but they might actually have to leave the state of Wisconsin for the NCAA's (I know Gopher fans have no right to complain about other teams getting home ice for NCAA's). As a Gopher fan, I have to admit that this offseason will be a long one. Our second most hated rival won the NCAA Title, and our season ended on our biggest rivals home rink in the greatest upset in the history of the NCAA Tournament.
Fixed your post.

Zach got 2 goals tonight.
#1 star of the game.

First title in 16 years, and now they are going to run off 3 in a row, according to Burish:
When questioned whether or not he thought that the Badgers could repeat as champions without him during Sunday's Championship Rally at the Kohl Center, senior Adam Burish boasted that he could see them completing a three-peat. -
season is all over!!!!!!!losers
Why don't you say it one more time -- tool!
-
Is the pep rally on Thursday something that kids could attend?
-
Hiram beat me to the punch!
-
Kaip with his 3rd career goal to get things started. Sioux win a shootout 6-4 (with an empty netter).

I read that 4 other teams were talking to McKee. I also read that Dallas was one of the teams. Does anybody know who else was in discussion with him?
-
David McKee, goalie for Cornell, signs with Anaheim.
Undrafted goalie signs a free agent contract after his junior season. I don't like the sound of that!

I'm heading to Milwaukee with my daughter. I've got a pretty excited 5th grader - getting to skip 2 days of school to watch the Sioux bring home #8! Staying at the Holiday Inn 3 blocks from the rink. We're driving to Chicago on Friday to visit my sister. I'm thinking about checking out the Oilers/Blackhawks.
-
I don't recall seeing any discussion about this on ss.com, but I've had a couple different people tell me in the last few days that they heard Spirko may be heading to Europe when the season is over. Has anybody else heard anything? Let's hope this is just some clown starting a rumor to try to get a rise out of some people!
-
Also, the Oilers play the Blackhawks in Chicago on Friday night (Bochenski vs. Greene).
-
I had the cape first!!!! You're the copycat!!
Not related to this past weekend's games, but related to this post:
"I don't trust men in capes. ... Who wears a cape? " - George Costanza
Sorry Dagies! Couldn't resist.
-
The wraparound goal by by Toews in the first period was #6 on Sports Center's plays of the day.
-
Carle scored a PP goal for the Sharks tonight against the Wild.
-
In my opinion, best game the Sioux have played this year (that I have seen). I know that Michigan is a mediocre team in a mediocre conference, but I don't think it matters who was on the ice tonight.
How about some props for Hakstol? He's definitely proving to be a master at getting his team to peak in March & April.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Holy Cross has never had that many people cheering for them before. Too bad for them they have to be on the other side tomorrow night!

I think it has something to do with Tyler needing an operation of sorts...after all the poor guy is like 58 (and still getting it from 8 year olds)....
W
I hope you meant 18 year olds!

So does the Don kick the Sioux out of their dressing room this weekend? Has anybody heard any comments about this?

I was there. Probably one of my favorite experiences at a Sioux hockey game. I'd be interested in purchasing a copy of that also if anybody has one available.
