  1. I have 2 tickets available for both nights of the Anchorage series on January 25 & 26. Tickets are in section 107 row H. Price is $100. Would prefer to sell them all together, but would consider selling each night separately.

PM me or email fargosioux@cableone.net if interested.

Saturday tickets are gone. Friday still available.

  2. I didn't want to start my own thread but....

For you Sioux trivia buffs, I have a question:

When (and who) was the last time a defenseman scored a hat trick for the Sioux (if ever)?

    I'm just curious. ;)

I'll take a guess and say Nick Naumenko.

EDIT: I'll scratch that guess and go with Travis Roche. I'm pretty sure he had one.

  3. We were planning a weekend trip to Duluth to watch the Sioux at the DECC on March 1st & 2nd. Something has come up and we won't be able to attend. I have 4 tickets available for each game. The Saturday tickets are in section 2 row 4. The Sunday tickets are in section 1 row 2. These tickets are all located behind the goal. Both games are afternoon games (2:07 pm). I'm looking to receive my cost for these tickets, which was $246 with Ticketmaster fees. I'm hoping to sell all tickets in one shot, but would consider splitting them up. PM me or email me at fargosioux@cableone.net if interested.

    These tickets have been sold.

  5. In PCM's radio show summary on USCHO, Hakstol mentioned wanting to have Vandevelde center Watkins and Kaip. I assume this means we would have seen Kozek moved up with Oshie and Duncan on Friday? I would really like to see what that line could do.

  6. Never forget, this is the NCAA, so they can make any change they want to make more money. some times it helps you, some times it hurts, but with the NCAA, making more money will trump any bracket integrity. it usually helps und, but it is always a factor.

I would argue this point. UND got stuck in brackets with Michigan and Minnesota the past 2 years. Not exactly a cake walk to the Frozen Four.

  7. Oshie didn't seem to want to hit anyone last night either.

Just watched the replay several times of the Wheeler goal (MN's #2 goal on the night).

The puck hits Barriball who then skates into the zone offside. The puck bounces out in neutral zone where a Sioux player does play it back toward his own zone. The key is that there is a Gopher player right there as well, and right before/at the blue line may have carried the puck into the zone.

Since Barriball was already over the line, IF the Gopher player touched that puck and took it into the zone it would be offsides. However, it was tough to tell in the angle I watched. I only watched the live version, so didn't watch any of the replays which might have helped to tell for sure. However, in real life this actually became a very very close call, and one where you I don't think you can blame the ref for calling it either way, because it was just that close.

I watched the replays several times and it was clearly offsides. There is no way anybody can even argue otherwise.

  8. This is kind of off topic, but does anyone remember the old U.S.A vs. U.S.S.R bubble hockey game? The Circus arcade in Grand Forks used to have one and there is one in Dickinson at the local community center/restaurant/bowling alley. If your opponent hogs the puck behind the net for too long, there is this button you can push up to three times that makes booing noises. It's just a classic, classic piece of Cold War/Sports memorobilia. I'd like to get a hold of one of those as a collectors item/toy.

I actually have one of the Chexx tables with USA vs. USSR. I've been toying with the idea of getting rid of it. If you are serious, drop me a PM.

  9. Don't look now, but Northeastern is currently at the top of Hockey East. There's a chance that UND's win at Northeastern will prove significant in the pairwise rankings.

I watched the webcast of the UND-Northeatern game. Trust me. Without Lamoureux's play, the Sioux could have been down 3-0 before they ever scored a goal. And we know how well this team plays from behind.

I was at the game and I agree 100%.

  10. exactly, the price is very high for this series. i have seen upper levels sold for 175.00 a pair. lowers for anything higher than that for a pair if you hit the right area with the right people to sell them

I know somebody who sold his upper levels (end of the ice - 4 rows from the top) for $200 a pair.

  11. ABANDON SHIP!

Gimme a break. One year ago at this time, people were annointing Maine as the eventual NCAA champion based on their thrashing of the Sioux in Grand Forks. I'm sure you noticed that the Black Bears didn't even make the Frozen Four. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. Losing a game at home three days into November isn't the end of the world.

Pretty sure Maine was playing in St. Louis last year.

  12. I have 2 tickets available for Friday night's game vs. Colorado College. Tickets are located in section 107 row H near the end the Sioux shoot twice. Asking $60 for the pair. Call 701-799-2344 or email fargosioux@cableone.net if interested. Tickets are located in Fargo but could meet in Grand Forks before the game.

    THESE TICKETS HAVE BEEN SOLD.
