Anybody else planning on heading to the Springs for the CC series in November?

It would be great to have Joe back for his final year. He would be one of the best defensemen in college hockey. I believe he was leading the team with about a plus 22 in early March. I'm not sure his plus/minus ended up. But I'll take a 6' 7" - 250 lbs, 1st round Senior defenseman any day. Come back Joe, we'd love to have you.

Sophomore +19
Junior +24

From today's Edmonton Journal:
http://communities.canada.com/edmontonjour...rs-fingers.aspx
UPDATE: Flaming is reporting that Chorney didn't give the Oilers a letter of 30 days notice. " He'll either sign or he'll go back to UND and EDM will still own his rights."Flaming's co-host Dean Millards adds, "The negotiations between the Oilers and Chorney's advisor (he can't have an agent yet as it would ruin his college eligibility) are not going well. So bad in fact, there's a good chance the D-man might be returning to UND for his senior season.
-
According to this blog, Chorney is not listed on the roster for the Oilers prospect camp that starts on June 1st. It sounds like his agent is playing negotiating games with the Oilers.

I got confirmed for Section 101 row F for Alpine Valley for the first night. Second night I'll be in Section 201 row SS.
Let me know if any of you guys plan a get-together.

I heard he might be taking the St. John's job.

That would be pushing it. I am glad I didn't fork over the $1200 they wanted for that flight.
Those planes United uses out of Fargo are scary. They had problems with the doors becoming ajar (not open) while in flight. I worked at the airport and saw more than a few very people getting off those planes. Apparently a door open a crack while traveling 450 mph 40000 feet in the air makes a little noise
Update on this flight. They are still waiting on parts and won't be taking off until 4:30 pm at the earliest.
I booked this flight very early and got 4 tickets for a little over that price. I also talked a lady into a full refund if I don't go tomorrow, so I'm sitting pretty good in that regard. But man, it's gonna be hard watching that game in 3 hours on TV while the tickets are in my hand!
-
Our 6:20 am United flight out of Fargo got delayed until 5:00 pm at the earliest (more than likely cancelled) due to 2 flat tires and bad brakes. Probably a good thing the discovered that before we got in the air! Absolutely no way to get to Denver in time for the Sioux-BC game, so we are stuck at home watching the game tonight. Got rebooked on a flight tomorrow. Go Sioux!

I heard from a fairly reliable source that Chorney is gone after the season. I know this isn't shocking news by any means, but after hearing this, I'm no longer holding out hope that he will be back for his senior season.

I got confirmed for both nights at Alpine Valley. Lower Pavillion for the first night and Upper Pavillion for the second. I've been a Warehouse member since 1999 and often get tickets in the first 10 rows. I'm hopeful I'll be close to the stage for the first night.

Anybody else staying at the Adams Mark?

I'll be there again with my wife and kids. Booked my flights and room in May 2007. Hope to meet some ss.com members!

JPL will have to deal with the students twice, because UW is still using their locker room and bench. That's how the Denver game was.
I believe that Hakstol has the choice of which bench/locker room his team uses. I think it's usually just a courtesy & unwritten rule that you let the host team keep their normal bench. However, wouldn't it be funny, in light of the fireworks between Hakstol & Eaves earlier this season, if Hakstol put Wisconsin in the visitor's locker room?

Does anybody know if the Denver-Wisconsin game will be live on ESPNU?

I can't believe the empty seats at these regionals. When is the NCAA gonna bring a regional back to the Ralph?
